Battlefront Funnies

And suddenly, Qui-Gon began to realize that the yoga classes he had taken weren’t so stupid after all.

“Ok, so we can travel the galaxy in mere seconds, bend light to make a deadly sword, create huge planet sized space stations; and we STILL use floppy discs?”

Hello everyone of gametoast. I have been super busy, but I have finally made a return on the site. Today I want to discuss something special.

Okay, so many people are aware of the upcoming MW3 game and the BF3 game. BF3 appears to be EA’s answer to the epic action styled battles seen in COD and MW3 appears to be another cash cow guaranteed to bring in the sales in record numbers. If one is to take a look at the trailers, what you will see in the BF3 one is a highly polished, beautifully crafted environment with flawless character animations and high action game-play (with some awesome shock-wave physics). Directly contrasting is the MW3 trailer featuring many famous locations in the world and absolute chaos, sporting the same good ol’ COD game-play familiar to over 7 million people world wide.

There are many reactions to the unveiled trailers and also a ton of speculation and feedback. A vast majority of the comments essentially attack Activision and Infinity Ward’s seemingly little update or change brought to the repetitive series. The BF3 feedback is far more positive (my dad thought it was a movie, but then again, he still thinks Atari graphics is what my PS3 is only capable of handling). None the less, the sad truth is, MW3′s massive multiplayer following will be the deciding force in the total number of game sales. Many people sadly, do not care for singleplayer and they often base a game on quality of multiplayer and not singleplayer. I would take Battlefield Bad Company’s singleplayer over Black Ops ANY day. It was entertaining, I cared about the characters, and I had some laughs. Black Ops was just another “here we go again” sort of thing.

What I want people to get from this is that singleplayer is often a feature few people truly give a hoot about these days. Zombies, deathmatch, and flag capturing seems to be the only thing people will decide to buy a game for. Hopefully it is only my city that thinks that way.

I just have one question: What do you think Gametoast?

A last note: Battlefront still rocks my socks

I have always loved the Battlefield series since Battlefield 2, and can’t wait for the 25th of October. COD is also good if you like that style of playing but Battlefield ultimately offer’s so much more with full scale vehicular warfare, and tactical squad play. The tactical aspect of BF3 just gives the player a better feeling that their action’s contribute to the overall outcome of the battle through team play, whereas Call of Duty seems more focused on lone wolf point scoring.
