Given that I always stay on top of any and all SWBF3 information, I think it's just a false rumor. Always just the speculation, no real facts.

I hate to crush dreams, but I'm pretty sure SWBFIII is not coming out. Ever. Alternatively, you can mod SWBFII. If you want something like SWBFIII, you might want to download any big mod, like Dark Times, or the Conversion Pack, or BFX. There is also a mod coming out in the future, titled Battlefront III.
