We are trying to provide a server that is fun and free of the little kid stuff. The server has auto boot/ban functions built in. It tells you you have been warned. Typing in mispelling of curse words to circumvent the banned word list is juvenile. There is a complete chat log made of EVERYTHING you type in chat. The admins read it. For instance:

This is just a small example from today. You guys have been warned repeatedly about your behaviour. Any of you guys that decide that the rules don't apply to you, good luck getting on the server. 3 day bans will be the first offense punishment. Longer periods up to and including permanent later. [GT-b]Blackdutchie you need to take the GT-b from in front of your name and go back to [V]lgd.Blackdutchie until you can learn to behave.

Removal from the stats page is another tool in the deterent arsenal...

I have a question. TKing is not allowed, but sometimes you throw a detonator or something and kill your team mate without wanting to do it. Would you get booted for TKing accidentally?

There is no autoboot for teamkilling at this time. The manager says that a person is booted for teamkilling even for other reasons. Hopefully Kevin can fix this. If the are booted automatically it is probably for minus score or language. Also, when the TK auto boot was working back on the last version, it only counted TK's done to human players, not bots. I usually set the server up for 5 TK's allowed, "for accidents".

Steve, I'm soooo glad you got on our users. I've been told multiple times by multiple people that 5-10 of our guys are misbehaving badly, but whenever I get on everyone acts all peachy, so I wasn't sure if it was true.

Let me add one thing. Get banned from the server, get banned from the GT clan. If you're not grown up enough to play without finding ways around the swear sensors and if you're talking about wallhacking or cheating in any way, we don't need ya.

One last thing. ANY MEMBER OF THE FORUMS caught by an admin wall glitching on the gametoast game server will be banned from the forums, and their account deleted.

Yeah, so watch out... :twisted: I'll be watching the Server while Tean' and Steve sleeps....

But luckily for those who has me around, They get a few secs to defend themselves for accuses before they gets in trouble...

Hey. My name is in there. I was asking the guy if it was a glitch or a trick because i know glitching is not allowed. I wasnt sure about tricks or if that was map exploiting. Besides i didnt follow dutchie in that thing on the Coruscant map when he said that.

Since im on that, am i warned?

I have some entries in the log from last week of you typing serveral different spellings of a banned word. You also have been bugging me for lists of the banned words and lists of admins. You are not banned at this moment, but those who are will be banned till Monday morning. Too bad about tryouts tomorrow. Try acting civilized.

Cursing in the chat line isn't "accidental" or a "slip of the tounge". You have to stop what you are doing in-game and purposely type in the line. You are intending to say what you are saying, so "OOPS I didn't meant it" doesn't work.

I was just on thserver about a few minutes ago and Stealth Assassian joined but was booted for having a banned word in his name. U all know what the banned word in his name is. I know im speaking for him but i know he is a GameToast member so we should let him play on the server.

Yeah, I think the band word list needs Spaces, that should solve the problem. [word not allowed]assian is a pretty common word for bf2 names.

It doesn't work that way. It is fixed, he can get on.

Could u take wtf of the banned words list? I usually use it when something odd happens, and today it got me booted .

great....im banned.......i cant under stand the immature explelling of words connecting to intimate behaviour as act of frustration getting me banned. but droppping mines from a ridge?????

My computer does something really weird on Mos Eisley on top of the cantina. When I am on it, I can see through it into the bar itself. Is that glitching or cheating, because I can't control it as it is my computer's fault.

If yo ucant control it it's not really your fault, is it?

Is this just my comp or has anyone else ever gotten it. BTW, on that map it lost connection to server so I don't know what it would have looked like while playing.

Well, these "behaviour" problems is what seperates us vets from these new recruits. I'm not suprised.
