[GT] and (BFD) Friendly Clan Match

Hello [GT] Clan members,

Guru and I would like to set up a friendly [GT] - (BFD) clan match in the near future. The (BFD) clan has never shown any interest in entering any of the Battleweek events but a friendly clan game sounds like it'll be great We have 23 members but realistically I can expect about 10 members to play.

The [GT] clan has quite an international membership and the (BFD) clan is based in Japan. I'm hoping we can devise a game schedule that accomodates all.

I'll start off with a suggested game schedule and change it as ideas are thrown about until we reach a final agreement.

Unfixed Suggested Settings and Game Schedule

Settings
Retail Maps using V1.2 dedicated server

Server Name (BFD)CLAN_JAPAN(AUTO_AIM_OFF)

Random Map Selection - AI 12 - Medium Difficulty - 8 Second Spawn Kill Protection - No Team Damage -
1. Four friendly clan games hosted by (BFD).*
2. Four mixed clan games using auto assign hosted by (BFD).
Repeat

As the games will be hosted by (BFD) using a dedicated server in Japan, there will be lag for clan members far away. If any [GT] clan members would also like to host then we can cycle this task between servers after a set number of games have been played.

*Clan team lending may be needed in clan mode to make up numbers. There won't be a password to enter the server so a few 'outsiders' may also stroll in. We can ask people who come in to join the team with the least clan members.

Time
The U.S. Eastern area is 13 hours behind Japan.
European countries are 7-8 hours behind Japan.

WOW!!! lol - we are a few people, who has wondered if there were ANY Japanese players, and its GREAT to hear, that there is a Japanese Clan

I'm gonna play in ALL matches

and I think I'm 7 hours behind you guys - and guys like Darthlarrious and Imp_strikeforce and Rebelscum, Sdwhwk - (theese are the most people I talk with) - and ALL the other US players, is about 7 hours behind me

and HERE is an idea to Guru about the time:

Can you install a "Count-Down Clock" to the starting time between GT and BFD? then we ALL could set up the schedule like you did to the Countdown to SWBF2 is released

I think it would help us ALL - so we ALL know how many Days/Hours/Minutes/Seconds left before this friendly match starts

I'm looking forward to this - and I'm gonna introduce my brother (he is getting 13 this saturday, so congratulations to him ) so he could start his GT-carriere with a pwn against people from the other side of the globe

(and I warn y'a - he is almost as good as me... and he hasn't even found a "special" yet )

so I hope we can set this up, and good luck with the preparing

Birth of a Match : yeah i had a request from precise moon which was a great idea, find clans south of the equator since swbf seemed to only be uk and usa (mostly) clans and lets match them. So i contacted these guys to do a little killing!

Please post if you can make it guys and if those times above are gonna work, im 100% flexible with time on this match since it for fun

I assume well play retail maps to avoid any issues and use patch 1.2 since 1.3 wont be retail for ....some days.

anyways looking forward to this match very much hope to see more clans from other parts of the world get involved! [GT]lets do this!!!!

Will try to make these matches but 4pm to me is to early but all been well if your having fun and are on later i shall make my apperance..

Must sort the 1.3 patch issue out anyone got any ideas how i/we can use both until official release..

Nice to hear there is a solar system beyond the south of the equator.I have looked for a Australian clan but to no avail so if anyone out there knows of such a clan get in touch....Will keep trying to make contact.

My duties in the front lines are been hampered at the moment but will be back on duty as soon as things are done on the plant Earth (wife permitting)..In the mean time tally hoo

if you want to use both patches 1.2 and 1.3 betq keep both patches in your directory and simply install the one you want to play as it will over/under write all changes on each installation of the patch.

I have 1.1. 1.2 and 1.3beta .exe in my directory for testing reasons but it works great this way.

hehe, EVERYTHING I download comes in a Folder on my Desktop called: Patches (I wanted it to be used to Patches, but I ended up with a Download folder, lol)

so I think I have over 50 maps to SWBF, some -exe files to some games, some other Patches files, and A LOT other un-necessary files - lol, EVERYBODY should have one lol - my FIRST NONE-MESS thing EVER lol

from what im hearing on the dev front, 1.2 will most likely be used in this match as well as Bw7. lots of bugs once it went pub beta.

lol, I think its a GREAT idea, so I doesn't have to calculate with Rends, and Saturn about the different time zones (lol, it happens EVERY battleweek)
