@cressalbane: DO you live in alberta, Canada?

RIP to the 11 year old girl who died after a van crashed into her school. 3 others critically injured. The scary part? I was in the OR at the same time they were! For a major, life saving surgery after some infection. They removed tissues and I think they adjusted my ribs... Not fun.

This topic is one of those that can be bumped all the time.

I also wish the men and women who died that day peace and hope people remember and respect them.

Our neighbours house just burned to the ground. They have (or had... ) lots of animals and a lot of guests their too. I hope no one died but as yet no one knows anything. Was at 12:30 pm, so midnight. I hope it wasn't arson because if it was no one is safe until he's caught. As yet no one is dead but we would loose 4 children and a bus driver if they died... RIP anyone involved if you died. That if is a BIG if.

Rest in Peace, Brenna. 9 year, 10 month old Shetland Sheepdog. We just found her dead in her den(which was her doorless create, covered in a blanket to block the sun). She looked like she passed in her sleep. Complete shock to all of us. She was barely sick at all.

I didn't need this stress. She was a good friend, but it's going to be even worse on my dad. She's the only dog ever to be considered his, and will be his last.

Sorry for your loss, Wulfman. Always sad to lose a pet, especially the ones that are dear to you and share a strong bond (let's face it, dogs and cats do have different personalities). I hope you find a new pet friend in the future, not to replace Brenna, but to share even more memorable moments and love with. And hope your dad will overcome the loss soon and remember the memories.

EDIT
RIP to Margaret Thatcher. She, along with Gorbachev and Reagan, is the reason why my homeland is a much better country today.

Rest in Peace Margaret Thatcher. You were one of the best prime ministers of the UK. You will be missed.

Chi Cheng has passed away. I've never been the biggest Deftones fan, but they were a big part of my teenage years, and a huge influence for everybody around me.

Two explosions just went off near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. 60 wounded, no confirmed deaths but that number is likely to rise due to the proximity of the explosions. No confirmation on if it was an accident or terrorism.

This is awful.

I've seen some pretty graphic photographs to come out of it. This is horrific. I don't see how the initial explosion could have been an accident, the location was too convenient. Maybe the second explosion was however an accident triggered by the first, we won't know for sure for awhile.

Rest in Peace you poor souls.

Just a warning, there have been some gory photos floating around on the internet from this attack. If you have some people who aren't really well-versed in social decency friended on Facebook or that you're following on Twitter, I would advise not going there for a few days if you don't want to see the results of a bomb going off near a crowd of people.

Apparently there are now two people who died. One of my brother's friend's dad was in the Boston Marathon and went by where the explosion was only a few minutes before it happened. Very close. Rest in peace to those who lost their lives today. Also rest in peace an old lady who went to my church, who was my Confirmation leader when I was in sixth grade, who passed away this morning. :(

My high school band director was running in the elite group that finished at about three hours in, an hour before the explosion, and was starting to walk back to cheer on people crossing the finish line, and made it to about a block away from the finish line. Truly a great tragedy that happened today, and my wishes go out to the families of the deceased, as well as the severely injured in hospital.
