Add .tga textures on a model on XSI ? [Solved]

Post by Indytotof »

Hello modders and mappers, here is Indytotof !

At last ! Yes ! I did it ! I can now export .obj into .msh files with XSI !

But there is a "little" problem.... I don't know how to add the .tga files that configure the model textures in XSI....

And there is only a blank blue screen when I load the exported .msh in SWBF Viewer.

Any though how to help me ?

The thing is I already have the textures (in .tga) that goes with the model. I just want to know how add them to the model on XSI.

So you converted a model which had textures on it? Or you've already made your texture for the model? Because in both cases you need the tutorial I linked to. (I think. I'm not a modeler myself, but I imagine so. I might be wrong though.)

You're right. He needs to apply a Phong material to the object(s) and connect an image node with the texture to the material's diffuse node, essentially. Indytotof, just follow the tutorial hunpeter linked to.

Can it worked if I texture my models in Blender and simply export them to .msh with XSI ?

Yes of cause. You could export from blender as obj and import this in xsi.
