How do I make custom buildings and props?

This may be a stupid question because I am new to modding, but how can I make custom props and buildings? Do I need special software?

To make custom buildings and props you will need special software. click on the blue topics here to get started and to get the software.

Since your new I recommend you use props stuff from the default battlefront 2 maps for your first map to get an understanding how things work.
