What should one do to fix this predicament?

Weird Repeating fire sound
So I seem to have come across a strange issue. I've been trying to set up custom sounds for the Clone Chaingun, however I've noticed the sounds I want to use keep repeating at a fast rate for long after the gun itself has stopped firing...meanwhile one or two select sounds I use instead, in a matter of trying to fix the issue, do not. I have failed to find a solution.
What should one do to fix this predicament?
