Modding problem
Hey I'm new to modding and I'm having a few issues in my modding.
I've learned how to add my own sides to a map but when I add dc: "empire currently" then munge and launch my map, then just when I hover over the empire button, the game crashes. I also changed the default stormtroopers texture a little bit btw and the AT-ST's as well. After I replaced it with the original texture it still crashed.

Re: Modding problem
Posting your .lua script would help.

Re: Modding problem
That's only a part of your lua and the crash log would be great as well.
And please paste the whole lua and log into

Code: Select all
and [hide] tags.
btw we don't need the whole crash log. But if you don't know what is important it'd be better you post the whole one.

Re: Modding problem
Hum i would remove the "local" before ALL and IMP as well as the "local" before ATT & DEF.kingrexy wrote:Code: Select all

Re: Modding problem
the local is fine. But if you have munge errors you should fix them first. Seams that there is something about your world where you forgot a bracket

Re: Modding problem
well, start simple:
rep.req
and then you only put the rep_inf_ep3_rifleman.req in your req folder, check the odf name called in that req file and add it to the odf folder. Continue with the parent and child files of the odf.
Finally there shouldn't be more then ~20 files in your Side/rep/ folder.
your lua will look like this:
just noticed that you wanna do a gcw era, so just do it for the all_inf_rifleman instead of the rep_..._rifleman
rep.req
Code: Select all
ucft
{
REQN
{
"lvl"
"rep_inf_ep3_rifleman"
}
}
Finally there shouldn't be more then ~20 files in your Side/rep/ folder.
your lua will look like this:
Code: Select all
...
ReadDataFile("dc:SIDE\\all.lvl",
"all_inf_rifleman")
ReadDataFile("SIDE\\all.lvl",
"all_inf_rocketeer",
"all_inf_sniper",
"all_inf_engineer",
"all_inf_officer",
"all_inf_wookiee",
"all_hero_hansolo_tat")
...
