Missile Launcher lock-on range won't change

I'm trying to make it easier for AI units (and players) to counter deadly bomber craft I've implemented into my map by making the rocket launcher's lock-on range larger. I changed its lock-on range and even added in the "TargetLockMaxDistance/TargetLockMaxDistanceLose" parameter into its ODF, but for some reason the range is still the same (rather short), even if I give it the lock-on range of, say, a starfighter (which have such a large lock-on range that lock onto targets across space maps).
