Pilot not flying off of speederbike

So, I wanted to make pilots fly off my speederbike when it's destroyed so I used the PilotDeath = "fly" ODF parameter:

Yet, for some reason, my pilot only flies off the bike when a missile hits him. If I crash into a wall, get the speederbike destroyed or get shot off the bike, my pilot dies as normal and falls.
