Starwars Battlefront 2 2005 Moding New Hero

Hi everyone I'm very new to modding and my first goal is to create a custom mod/ mod map but first I need to add in the new hero. I have the model on paint.net but don't know where to go from here when it comes to implementing the character into the game along with changing the name on "Play as (Character name)". Any advice or help would be much appreciated. side note, I tried following
a doc I found on here for it but I'm having issues when it comes to the req and odf file creation. https://sites.google.com/site/swbf2modt ... i_creation (Said doc I'm trying to use)

Update: I have all the code and model I just don't know how to implement it. can anyone help?

Gnarly, ill try it and get back to you. I actually was able to get some help with it now I just have to go back and fix some stuff cause it won't give me the option to play as them but I may have found a solution to this and let him know possible said solution, just gotta wait for a response.
