Everything You Need to Know About the Saga of the 607th Final Map Pack

Since you non-beta testers aren't getting any new updates of any sort, I figured I'd convert this topic to give you all information on the upcoming Saga of the 607th Final Map Pack. I'll update this topic every so often with new information as well as screenshots and maybe a couple videos.


Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: When's the release date for the Final Map Pack?
A: I said early December before, but I've been a bit low on time lately, so I don't have a release date.

Q: Are you going to release your assets/skins/etc?
A: No.

Q: Can you add (such-and-such unit)?
A: Nope, the side layout is final as of now.

Q: Can I be a beta tester?
A: Nope, I'm all set for beta testers.

Q: Where can I download the earlier versions of the 607th maps?
A: Though I'd suggest waiting untill the final release, you can find links to earlier versions at this link.

Q: I only see Map Packs 1 and 2. Where's 3?
A: Map Pack 3 was never released, but it's maps will be in the final pack.

Q: Why was Fahul: 607th Offensive cancelled? It looked really cool!
A: I had lots of problems with it. Besides, I wanted a space map in the series. So I replaced it with Space Kamino.

Q: What's this "secret map" you keep talking about?
A: Kamino, which has now been cancelled. (For now)

Q: Are you leaving modding after the Final Map Pack is done?
A: Nope.


Unit Guide

CIS

B1 Battle Droid
Standard rifleman. Has rifle, pistol, and grenades.
B1 Droid Rocketeer
The artillery of the CIS. Has a rocket launcher, pistol, and grenades.
B1 Droid Sniper
Marksman of the droid army. Equipped with a sniper rifle, pistol, mines, and grenades.
B1 Droid Engineer
Standard engineer class. Has a shotgun, fusion cutter, health/ammo dispenser, and grenades.
B2 Super Battle Droid
Very powerful, but also slow. Uses a heavy rapid-fire wrist blaster.
Droideka
The standard droideka unit, with repeaters and shield.
B1 Toxin Droid
Extremely deadly. Equipped with bio gun that deals great damage in a great radius. Also has neuro poison and a pistol.
Dark Force Droid (Kashyyyk, Murkhana, Jandoon, and *secret map*)
Lightsaber-wielding droids commisioned by Darth Armonus. In addition to lightsaber, also has grenades and team buff.
General Grievous (Rhen Var, Sullust, Yavin IV)
The dreaded general of the droid army. No change from shipped game.
Darth Armonus (Kashyyyk, Murkhana, Jandoon, *secret map*)
Self-proclaimed Sith Lord. He was assigned by Darth Sidious to destroy the 607th legion. Uses a deadly force lightning attack in battle.
Count Dooku (Xagobah)
Leader of the CIS, and Darth Sidious' apprentice.


The 607th Legion

607th Rifleman
Standard rifle-totin' soldier. Has two types of grenades; Thermals and EMPs.
607th Rocketeer
Standard rocketeer. Also has both types of grenades.
607th Sniper
Long-range unit for the clones. Has a sniper rifle, pistol, thermals, and mines.
607th Engineer
Standard mechanic. Equipped with shotgun, fusion cutter, thermals, and health/ammo packs.
607th Officer
With his powerful Ion Gun, the officer is a pro at taking down droid infantry.
607th Jet Trooper
Aerial force of the 607th. Has a modified EMP laucher, pistol, and both types of grenades.
607th Light Commando
If you took the sniper and rifleman and combined them, then amplified the result, you have the commando.
Commander Vaks
Commander of the 607th legion. With his powerful, almost unstoppable chaingun and orbital strike, Vaks is a force to be reckoned with.
Zhaus Hyaun
Jedi Knight who leads the 607th. His lightsaber is ideal for cutting down droid opposition.

Awesome, a real interior!
I'll be eagerly awaiting Space Kamino, although I expect a Zhaus' saber throw is going to be a tad overpowered in a narrow, straight hallway like that.

Right now, I'm debating whether or not to even include saber characters. They would make it way too easy to capture the enemy's main ship, since there are lots of narrow hallways.

Maybe I'll just put a bunch of hint nodes to tell the AI to plant mines all over the hallway. :P

Hey, I was wondering - are there any gaps in the models of those hallways? I saw what might have been errors when I looked at them in 3DOC, but I've not looked at them ingame.

Visually, the model is just fine, but there are a couple collision errors in the floor. (or the collision is just missing... or something along those lines)

Updates!.... sort of.

Anyways, today I'm going to tour you through the first portion of the CIS command ship's interior. Keep in mind that all of this is still W.I.P., and thus subject to change. Also, this is only the first few rooms, there'll be more eventually. (There is more right now, but it still needs some touching up before I post pictures)

This is one of the two hangar command posts. The 607th starts the game with this CP.

This is the other command post. This one is controlled by the CIS. Because the two opposing CPs are so close together, a chaotic fight will ensue here right at the beginning of the battle. There's plenty of crates and cover in the hanger between the two CPs, as well as a couple of turrets.

The auto-turret room is unchanged from the default, but I'll probably add some more later to spruce up the look of it. If the 607th nabs both hanger command posts, they'll have to fight their way through here as well. When playing, it would be a good idea to take out all the internal systems here before moving farther into the ship.

And this is the room beyond the auto-turret room. It looks bland now, but I'm still working on it. I'm thinking about adding a "security system" in here, which is similar to the auto-turret mainframe, but controls the internal auto-turrets. Like I said earlier, this isn't the last room, there's four more hallways from this hall leading to.... well, you'll just have to wait and see,

If you mean this mappack.. It's not out yet.. You can get the first two though. Nice work, though I would make the Kamino prop darker to match the ship.

Pity that it's over. These maps are great, and I will be sorry to see the series end. At least we have those final two maps to look forward to.
