Well, Shirley, I got it fixed. Apparently I had erroneously added "idle" to the end of the block anim and that... somehow... made it not... ok, idk what was up with that, but it works now.
And I'm uploading a video of the current state of the magnaguard, and a pretty good run with it, too.

Oh, I think I shall explain a little about his combo.
No reverse attack, because I'm pretty much globally removing those.
No sprint attack, because... ok, not exactly sure, maybe I could put one back... but anyway, sprinting and attacking goes straight to normal attacks.
Jump attack. Pretty standard. The only move that doesn't block.
Oh, Idle state doesn't block of course, even though the animation used is Maul's stock block anim.
All 4 attacks block.
It has the standard 1,2,3 attacks, plus spin, which is supposed to be a block, but also does light damage (I'll have to verify that the block radius is higher than the other attacks), and limits movement speed. From spin, the magna can go directly to attack 1, and all 3 attacks can go directly to spin, so the staff can be in constant motion by going 1,2,3,spin,1,2,spin, etc. Spin is done by the standard block button.
When the video is uploaded, the opponents you'll see are Jedi, one has Soresu, the main defensive form, and the other... uh, well, it has a WIP remake of the dual Jar Kai saber style. good new idle anim, horrid attack anim.

So you're adding the seven (or some of the seven) forms of lightsaber combat? That would definitely make lightsaber duels more realistic.

Yep, well, mostly. I don't have a clue what I'll do for form 6 Niman, as it's description is "balanced mix of the previous 5 forms" Most of the others are made, but maybe not finished, and I gotta redo Ataru...
But I also got an idea to make 3 "tiers" of saber forms, where the first tier is saber only, but gets the most fancy combos and either increased health or a shield, second tier is slightly less fancy bladework, but allows the use of regular force powers like push, pull, lightning, choke. and then a 3rd tier that's not fancy and has reduced health perhaps, but allows more powerful force powers like heal, telekinetic throw/project/barrage, saber throw, and perhaps a decreased cool down, but I'm not sure about that, more likely a slight reduction in heat per shot so that 2 shots forces a cooldown instead of 1, or one at a time slightly faster. my force powers are AI useable, but for the most part overheat in one shot and take 10 seconds to cool down. Kinda like how KotOR has guardians, sentinels, and consulars.
The 7 forms would be divided into the 3 tiers, so like, tier 1 has Ataru, Vapaad (and Jar Kai and doublesabers). tier 2, Soresu, Djem So, Mikashi, and tier 3 Shi Cho.
and then each form would have differing strengths. Soresu does much less damage, but is much more effective at blocking. Ataru could cover more area with its attacks, but do slightly reduced damage... and Vapaad could do increased damage but at a decrease in defense. Jar Kai would have a wider area of attack, but additionally a wide area of defense, at a cost of a little damage and blocking endurance.
Hm, perhaps "Niman" could just be a tier 1 remake of Shi Cho...
The attacks blocking thing does make it feel a lot more realistic, you'll see it in the video, too. When I attack the Soresu Jedi as well as some attacks I block. And push is reduced to about 2, down from up to 6 on some stock attacks.

eh, maybe, but the other styles use some anims in common, so it wouldn't necessarily appear to be a mix of them.
idk. i could just make a second middle-ground form but use a different combination of anims. but then the hard part is deciding on the anims to not make it look too much like one of the other forms in particular... If I do decide on the 3 tier thing, ... looking at wookieepedia again, Niman was supposed to be a simple form for Jedi who wanted to spend more time learning force moves, so Niman could be low tier middle-ground and Shii Cho actually a mid tier

Looking very interesting. I am not shure if these differences would actually be noticeable but if they are it is a really cool thing to do. Just make shure they are noticeable for people who did not follow this thread (not that it turns out to discussions like in unification where some people did not realize the work marth made himself making all units from scratch, cause that'll be a real shame).
As a idear for your 3 tier, I'd suggest a uncouth, heavy and/or crude fightingstyle if you are refering to the fact that they concentrate on the force. There style wouldn't be as elegant and elaborated as the ones from the others. Mayby they rather hack,slash and chob then using elegant movements like charakters from the movies ( :maulsaber: )
