To help Anakin further answer these questions/give my own insight.
1. Mars Marshall aka NeoMarz was a member of the Jedi Knight Outcast/Academy community and he has made all sorts of Star Wars models for the games. He has since left the community, vanishing completely.

2. I believe ANDEWEGET's are better definitely texture and model wise on the DC-17m. He did some great remodeling on it and the texture is really high-quality. I mean I like the old ones, but the textures are a bit....thrown together. Not to sound rude to the original modeler.
To Anakin: I'd go with NeoMarz's Commandos. Neither one are completely 100% accurate, but I think you'd have more quality with NeoMarz's Commandos, plus more flexibility in terms of the UV's if you want all sorts of reskins. After the Commandos from RAS Prosecutor comes out, I'd definitely switch to those, as soon as possible. :) Just what I would do. Great mod so far.

Thanks, and i think NeoMarz Commandos too.

ps.: I meaned the Texture, i can´t see a difference between the models.

Edit: Whats with DarthD.U.C.K.'s Commando Models?

I have to say one thing: Amazing. Really good work. The troopers seem more realistic than the original troopers of the game.

NeoMarz's models are a bit more 'fat' ....trying not to make that sound insulting to his work of course.

Yes the Katarn Armor looks more realistic but i don't like the helmet it looks like a simple undetailed block. There is the other much better.

^ This. They're the same exact models by the same person. Someone from GT if I remember ended up converting them from JKA to BF2. And while I think Neomarz's models are typically a bit too fat, I think his Commandos are one of his best packs to use for this me thinks. Just a personal preference, though. I think the other ones are a bit too squished on the textures, but I'm not sure. Could just be me.

I dunno. I meant no offense by it, I guess it's just I prefer Neomarz's, not to down anyone's work.

I think it mainly had to do with how the front portion or "face" of the helmet texture looked a bit squished. I don't know how else to word that?
