I love the hands, your models are very impressive. Honestly, Rise of the Spartans sounds better in english, and it is easier to remember.

EDIT: It also does a better job at conveying what the mod is about.

Practically all of my planned projects have Latin names. At least temporarily, if not officially. The only one set in stone is Terran Mortalis.


tl;dr nothing wrong with using Latin.

I had a codename for an era mod (that I never finished) that used Latin. Viatores Stella, "Star Travelers"

Using latin is very commonplace it seems!

Well, I worked on him a bit yesterday and today. HUGE thanks to :bowdown: AQT :bowdown: for walking me through specular maps.

Looks great. I think you added glow to the visor (2nd person from left). Make the whole glowing part much darker. This way it still will glow, but you can see the structure from your texture ;)

TWINKEYRUNAWAY and Kingpin both made beautiful blue helmets, so I simply combined the two, enhanced the colors, and enjoyed the spectacular results!

Please note the contest is still open for the red helmet.

I got too versions of the red one,one with inverted helmet but normal visor,and one the other way around

apologies,I accidentally deleted the photoshop file,so I can't fill the white gaps,you'll have to try it your self or call it scratch marks

note: in the images above I added the texture to all slots(diffuse,bump,reflection,etc.)without refraction and normal map,I'm sorry if you don't want it to look like this,if you put the texture for diffuse only that's the outcomeImage

EDIT: after some tests,I was able to find out the textures wont result in any of the pictures I uploaded,but it would if you try to render(your reference was a screen-shot while I posted a render,that's why they look different even though we probably have the same options) I'd quick render,but you probably tried the texture already.hope it's what you wanted

As posted on moddb, the information runs as follows.

Dear fellow halo fans,
Due to conditions unbeknownst to me, my laptop and most of my files has been completely lost in a crash, as the computer appeared to have obtained a virus downloaded from an outside source. (I do not think I downloaded it, my computer is my family's PC so everyone uses it.) Luckily, I do have most of the mod as it was released in a demo last year backed up onto a portable hard drive. After this event, I have decided to end this mod and will shut down the page in a few months. As soon as I am able to get a summer job and earn an income, I will be able to complete the building of a new hard drive, and thus continue from the back-up of the mod. I will most likely be renaming and adjusting the concept of the halo mod and it will appear as soon as possible on moddb under a new name. The new name will be posted here on this page, before this mod page will be taken down. The old mod will be given a new name, and probably be released one map at a time. As I said, all this will be done when financial issues are solved, and a new hard drive built. I promise that this mod will be finished, as many of you are great supporters of its progress. I have received several requests of possible donations, and after talking with my family, they want me to accept. I have created a GoFundMe and the link will be posted below. I have found one update of the game on my backup hard drive, and it is newer than the demo released. I will try and upload it as soon as my computer is recovered from the crash, and than I will cease to update this mod, and a new one will be released under a new name sometime in the near future. Again, I thank you all for you generous support and comments, and I apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused with this occurence.

Short story: PC crashed, lost all files, old demo found on backup hard drive, release of last update available will be released, money needed to complete building of new PC, old mod will continue under a new name on new PC, life will continue.
