Empire Rising

It has been five years since the formation of the Galactic Empire. All remnants of the old republic have been torn down
and a new stronger order has taken its place. With our exhualted emperor leading us into a era of peace and justice,
he needs an equally strong military to help him maintain it. Though a lot has changed since then, one thing has not...our will
to fight. For a galalxy that clearly needs order, it is us who will strike our hand and answer her plea.

In a nutshell Empire Rising is a small era mod aimed to deliver a more arcade style type of gameplay
deeply inpsired by Battlefront 1. It also serves as a modding portfolio for not only myself, but
for other talented modders such as Republic commando and Unit33 of SWBFgamers. I had worked on
this project for a little over 8 months and since then it has gone through a lot of changes. I feel comfortable enough
with the progress to show you ladies and gentlemen what I have been cooking up.

What you can expect (This varies in the Beta build):
-Battlefront 1 inspired set ups and gameplay proporties
-New voice work for most units
-New Weapon Icons
-New effects and models by various modders
-New Audio for weapons
-Models inpsired from the PSP battlefront games, from the cancelled Free Radical BFIII and Canceled Star Wars First Assault.
-New Skin and Texture work for all models and units

Q & A (will be updated with each new question asked) :

Q: Just five classes??? Why not more dude?

A: Becuase I wanted to keep it simple. This gives me room to makes changes quicker and focus more on gameplay. Plus this allows me to make the file
size much smaller and more convienant for you guys.

Q: Do you have heroes planned?

A: Hereos are pretty neat, though that was not my focus coming into this project. If it were to be highly requested it would be a possibilite.

Q: Any new maps planned?

A: Its something I really haven't considerd. Granted if that were to become a thing, it would only be one map
with a reasonable size range similiar to the tantive 5. Smaller maps usually are the best in my opinion.

Knock yourselves out. Need feedback on gameplay, not so much on bugs. Suggestions will be noted for the next beta such as battle worn paint jobs. Its always important to read the "ReadMe" included. Other than that enjoy and be as critical as you wish with the feedback. If anyone makes a video of this, please remember to mention this is a beta and not a final product.

8/21/14

Unfortunatly this will be the final Beta build. Recently a portion of this mod had been deleted due to some electrical trouble with my laptop. Any who, I did happen to back up some of what was present in this build in the form of assets folders. But becuase ive been working almost non stop on this
mod since last December, I have gotten fairly discouraged to redo what I had at this moment. I will still be around GT working on other
things and I hope you guys understand why I dont want to revisit this mod anytime soon. Thanks for all the support and hope
you enjoy this build of the beta!

Playable as "Extended Civil War" On Tatooine and The DeathStar

Changes from last build:
*New skin work has been done to make the empire feel more war torn, suggested by anakin.
*DeathWatch Unit added
*Kel-Dor removed
*Balanced out a few more weapons
*Wester Model by the JKA community and Deviss added with a new effect.

By the way: I wonder why a lot of modders (or just three in my memory..) make/ create mods that take place between Episode three and four.
Example were:
Your Empire Rising Mod,
Racoons After Ordner 66,
Sheldons before the empire mod,
and racoons before. the. empire.....lol same name :o

ahhh and dark times.
Ok the last one is older than the thr- four above. Anyway I like the empire team or side. So...Nice mod twinkey.

I wonder about that too

MAV would have been smart to add clone wars to the dark times mod. I for sure would have played it. I mean, the tropical map was brillant, hurricanes amd palm trees, and some of the other maps are down right cool, but sadly I dont play it cause I like clone wars too much

Well this is something I had been working for over a year now and originally it was set just after episode 4. But I felt like I would have more freedom setting it between EpIII and IIII. It wasn't untill recently that other modders decided to place thier mods during this period and since my mod was already far in progress I thought I would post it anyway.

Ahhh ok. Hadn't thought yet. Anyway your mod looks really cool.
Off topic: If episode 7 will come out who were the first one who creats a mod or map that's based on the movie? Hm or mods between Ep.6 and 7? It`s just an idea.

Wow, looking great. This is so ambitious! I can't wait to see the final product! Also good job on retexturing that missle cannon, looks way better.

May I ask why a empire sniper uses the ACR trooper westar rifle? It's a assault rifle with a grenade launcher on it

The description of the class comes after the images of the class. That would be the Imperial Engineer class using the ARC rifle as a grenade launcher.

Your supposed to read the pics from the top and the info to the bottom. That's the Engineer class with the Wester M-5(the model is also a place holder for a future grenade luancher model). Ill re-organize the pics.

I have to say, I absolutely love the skins and design choices for the Empire, well done! I've never really seen that black and red color scheme done before, it looks nice!

Another fun peice of info is that you dont fight rebels per say. You see around this time period the rebel alliance wasn't even conceived yet. Instead you fight a mysterious mercenary group that has been trying to loosen the empires hold on certian planets. The empire design was built around the idea that they haven't fully been transformed into the storm troopers we know and love from episode 4. Its only been fives years after episode III and so everyone on the empire side has a clone/storm trooper blurred type design. Some people even still call them clone troopers.

Edit: thanks to everyone who has taken intrest in this mod. It really motivates me as a modder to hear any kind of comment you guys post. I plan to take my sweet time with this, even months and months to ensure this is as high quality as it can be. More exciting updates coming soon! ^^
