Off-topic: What you are describing is a floating HUD icon, which happens when a HUD icon model doesn't have its HUD coordinates set yet. I do not think there is a fancy vocabulary word for this particular bug. Localization mainly refers to the in-game text that you see (e.g. the names of weapons or units).

In that case i can quieten you. We will fix the floating icons when all weapons are ingame, the sides are done and we start with the custom HUD.

Just out of curiosity, will you be using your Stormtrooper in this mod? Or will you be trying to convert the one that was in the XBox360 leak? Also, sound work: that will most likely come later, but are you planning on changing the sounds? I find that the sound design for SWBFIII left a lot to be desired (Republic rifle sounds for the starfighters?). In that regard, I might be able to offer some assistance - over the years, I have collected thousands upon thousands of sound effects from the Star Wars saga.

i'll start with the imp/all when the rep/cis is done. But i think i'll take my stormtrooper and add some stuff from the 360 leak (pauldrons,...)
And yes we want new sounds :D

I think that the backpack and pauldron for the sandtrooper doesn't look great from the leak. I can send you the ones I have from the TFU models (I updated my TFU Stormtroopers with them today) which should go nicely with your model.

As for sounds, I might send you my entire archive, including sounds I'm using for my current mod. You might not be able to use all of them, but you should be able to get a lot of decent sounds from them.

Lando Calrissian and Leia have just been finished. Just their weapons are still missing and somehow I am having trouble in exporting the cloth collisions.
I name them like this: c_sphere1, c_sphere2.....Is that correct?
Anyway Leia also has her new weapon: A DDC Blaster Pistol which can be charged too as the DL-44. When fully charged she will shoot three bullets at once.

Darth Vader, Zam Wessel, Jango & Boba Fett


Some more progress has been done. I added Darth Vader, Zam Wessel and the Fett Family into Hero Assault mode. So far they work fine. I still need to add their weapons and fix other, several things when other heroes/villians are done.
I plan on adding a complete new Animation System behind it. It should be similair to the new Battlefront but has to keep the old Gameplay feeling when playing as a hero (melee user).
Darth Vader's helmet (And eyes) use Cube Mapping and Ice Refraction.

Our goal is not to replace Evolved. Both eras in BF3: Legacy will be playable on all stock and some custom maps.

I forget -- what was the problem with the other model-based maps like Bespin and their collision meshes? Was it that they were all centered at 0, 0, 0 instead of relative to each other like Coruscant?

Pretty much. Cato Neimoidia is the easiest as it seems the entire map was one big mesh.

I absolutely love the way this model looks , God knows the Super Battle Droid model needed an upgrade.

Same goes for tattooine , but if anyone is interested in porting more BF3 maps , I already have seperated , organaized and recreated the Tatooine map using collision meshes.
I like to think that Coruscant is only the beginning , it'd be nice to see more maps.

Tatooine IIRC is terrain based so it put all objects at 0,0,0 like Teancum said.

I'd be interested in seeing your Tatooine map, though.

Really cool looking so far.Do you have plans for making your own custom animations?

Im currently working on the BF3 Tatooine map but im gonna make it a little different also gonna add waay more stuff.
