W.I.P Hordon III: Invasion!

Chamboozer is back! This map takes place above the planet of Hordon III, the planet that will be featured in many of my upcoming levels. So begins my new map series, The Capture of Hordon III.

This space battle pits the republic's most powerful Venator-class star destroyer, the Ghost, against the CIS's most advanced Providence-class battleship, the Adhesive. For a little more information on the adhesive, see my location. (My location might also explain [fictionally] why i was gone, and why i am back)

This may seem like a normal space map but there are many diffrent things here as well.

-advanced Ghost and Adhesive
-perhaps while exploring the assault ship you will see why it is called the Ghost :)
-Hangar defense turrets
-CIS Droid control ship/gun platform
-new jet trooper for republic, and a way to use an airlock to get outside of the ship.

Tactical Info:

-The republic has an advantage because of its massive auto turret count, but the CIS has a Control Ship floating above the Ghost with other turrets that can be used to take out the republic auto turret supply.

-Major Chamboozer, recently rescued from the CIS cruiser Adhesive.

This map looks reallly nice this line got my attention-- -perhaps while exploring the assault ship you will see why it is called the Ghost-- so what are there gonna be ghosts of previous troops long dead now?that would be nice,also the thing about the airlocks is just brilliant!now theres 2
ways to enter a ship!Cant wait for this map!!! :D :D :D

No, people will have to enter the ship the old fashoned way, because the model for the capitol ships are made so theres no way to get in, they are completely solid. You can however, get out from the inside. Unless i learn how to drill a hole in the cap. ship, then i wont make it a 2-way airlock.

How big is the interior going to be? Also what is up with the airlocks? Looks good, we could definately use some different looking space maps.

The interriors wont be huge, because the main focus of the battle is on the outside of the ship, with the gun turrets and capitol ships. The airlocks can be used by the troopers on the inside of a ship to get outside. i plan on giving these jet troopers fusion cutters and rocket launchers.

Suggestion: Improve Boarding AI - they don't even manage it get into a hangar, and If you're in the hangar , they'll definately take the transport and lift off to crash into the next wall.

OK, Hordon III is approaching BETA, just have to complete the interriors.

NOTE: Sry guys, but you wont be seeing the reason the "ghost" was named that in this release, probably in the 0.1 release instead.

That is sweet! Oh, and you were saying the airlock was probably only going to be one way, right? I don't know if this will work, but try using a terrain cutter. Having a two - way airlock would be even better! I'm also curious: are you going to give the CIS a jet unit as well?
