Most likely it's a blur effect added in GIMP/Photoshop/... over the screenshot.

Re: Battlefront: Evolved 1.0
Recently returned to Gametoast after a period of being dormant. I come back to find this. Now I find purpose to play BF2 again. Thank you for this mod, it is incredible. I am really looking forward to see if you are gonna release a v.2.0 of this mod. If there is, I was wondering if it would be possible to include Cockpit views to the airborn (spaceborn? o.O) vehicles without breaking MP compatibility. I would be SET for life with that.

Re: Battlefront: Evolved 1.0
I have studies the compatibility with this mod and v1.3 for quite some time. This is what I would suggest you do to get it working:
Note: If you have any versions of 1.3 installed, uninstall it.
1. Install SWBFII.
2. Make sure v1.3 is NOT installed yet. We will do that later.
3. Download Battlefront: Evolved, and install it. Test it to make sure it works. If they do not, you have done something wrong.
4. Install the LITE version of the v1.3 patch, in the installer mode found here:http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.co ... ion;110319
5. Open up Battlefront again, and you should have all of the features of the v1.3 patch without the v1.3 patch skins.
Notes:
Make sure that you install Battlefront: Evolved first. When you install the v1.3, it uses what it thinks is the "stock sides", so when you have the Evolved ones, it thinks they are the stock ones, thus causing it to work. If you have v1.3 installed first, then the skins will not work, as it overwrites any changes with the ones it already copied.
I am almost certain that the normal version of the v1.3 patch WILL NOT WORK, no matter the installing order.
Hope these are useful, and feel free to use this info in your readme, WULFMAN.

Re: Battlefront: Evolved 1.0
This isn't really a mystery - all this mod is is a side replacement mod. It'll work with any other mod. If you install a second side replacement mod after this one (like the "full" 1.3 or 1.2), then the second mod will overwrite the first.Kingpin wrote:I am almost certain that the normal version of the v1.3 patch WILL NOT WORK, no matter the installing order.

Actually, I think this would not override the v1.3, lite or full, as it is the game's first priority. Atleast that is what I have found.

To put it simply, you are wrong. The game is not designed to "prioritize" one mod over another.Kingpin wrote:Actually, I think this would not override the v1.3, lite or full, as it is the game's first priority. Atleast that is what I have found.
To put it more technically,
This mod overwrites .lvl files inside the SIDE folder.
The "full" v1.3 patch overwrites .lvl files inside the SIDE folder.
Whichever one you install second will write over the first, essentially deleting whatever changes the first made.

Re: Battlefront: Evolved 1.0
I get an issue where I can't play some maps with lighting set to maximum like I could before adding both 1.3 and Evolved. I've not figured out what the problem is, and I have no idea how to interpret the log file that comes from running the debug .exe. I'm certain it has to do with one of these things, presumably the 1.3 patch (I was able to run all maps at highest settings until I installed v1.3), and then I guess it has nothing to do with the sides, because I pretty much replace the 1.3 sides when I install Evolved (assuming Evolved sides work fine on all settings). But yeah, there shouldn't be an issue regarding Evolved's compatibility with 1.3, since Evolved only overwrites the sides that 1.3 previously overwrote.

Re: Battlefront: Evolved 1.0
Which version of the 1.3 patch are you installing? Have you tried installing the 'lite' version without the 1.2 sides?

Re: Battlefront: Evolved 1.0
The latest patch version, r129 I think, should be the only version of 1.3 anyone uses. It works perfectly alongside this mod, doesn't matter what order they are installed but it might be easier to install 1.3 r129 then Evolved 1.0.

Updated the first post with credits. I should have done that from the start. No one even reads the Readmes anyway.

Re: Battlefront: Evolved 1.0
Oh. My issue was graphics card-related; something in the pack's sides didn't agree with my card. Turns out, if I am able to get them working on this computer it still doesn't look the way it's supposed to. Sorry about that.
