You should credit MetroidNut and Bungie for the Halo: Reach rifle you used. :)

Played through the sides here's my thoughts:
The alternative sides are muuuch better than the normal ones. Probably because
of the weapon property changes and the model changes. I also found that in the
original ones (maybe both) the laser glow was red, I don't know if its supposed to
be like that or not, just wanted to point that out. Maybe in future releases you
could change the republic commandos weapon animation to that of a rifle.
Overall, great first mod Ant.

Here's a video that I made in the last hour (yes I know I did worse than a 5 year old
but enjoy anyways [how about laugh at my combat skills]):

I agree the Alternative is way better...probably caz I spent more time on it :D I never knew the lazers grow red but thats AWESOME! And yea I'm working on the commando rifle :) Also your gameplay was hilarious...on my 1.5v, I'm gona try to complelty redo the main side, since besides the normal class, they all suck :P

300 MB?!?! That's crazy! I think that there may be some unnecessary files in there, but I'm downloading now and will post a review soon.

...and the unzipped version is 760 MB.

I would recommend saying in the installation instructions to backup the contents of your side folder before continuing, as you replace the contents inside. I would also recommend following this tutorial on how to make a side/era mod.

Well you did forget about the backing up part, the difference with the link he gave you and what you did is that the link gives a tutorial on how to add an era to the game. Although it is a good suggestion I think that it would be best to leave it as a side replacement because there is a limit of 5 eras per map and you'd have to add two eras, one for alternative sides and one for original side.

I gave you a tutorial on how to make your era, or side mod, show up on all stock maps under the normal Clone Wars and GCW eras. This also makes it so people don't have to replace their sides.

He could make the different versions into different mods so you could pick and choose which ones you want to use.

If you didn't understand that, here's a little demonstration.

Inside the 66th Legion (1.0) folder, there would be another folder called ANT, which would be the era mod. This one would be the 1.0 version.
Inside the 66th Legion (Alternative) folder, there would be another folder called ANT, which would be (again) the era mod. This one would be the alternative version.

I hope someone understands me. Basically you have an era mod, but you have different versions of it.

You can have more than 5, it just isn't as pretty as having 5 or fewer.
