This is my first map that I have ever released called Kashyyyk: Treetops; I found this map sitting in one of my folders and totally forgot that I had it! It was near completion when I stopped making it for a while... :D

It's set in the Galactic Civil War era, some time around The Force Unleashed period in a tree top city on the planet of Kashyyyk. It was inspired by many Kashyyyk maps including AQT's Kashyyk: Depot. Here are some pictures of what I have on the map before you start downloading.

Installation:

Extract the KYT file into your Star Wars Battlefront II addon folder.

UPDATE (01/21/2017)

Here are the things that will be fixed/added for the future release:
Hidden/Spoiler:
- Adding Death Regions
- Adding more props (ie: cover)
- Adjust any misplaced props
- Reinforcement Increase on Map
- Localization
- "New" Game Modes (ie: Hunt
)

I wish more people can make awesome maps like these using stock assets. I am one for more new assets and new units only maps but this is very well done, I tip my hat to you sir! Do you have any other maps currently in the making?

Currently working on a few maps including Scarif, Christophsis & Sullust (Inspired by Battlefront DICE) You can expect the Sullust map to come out first!

Overall a nice map, good visually, could use a little work gameplay wise.

First thing I noticed was file size. I would suspect that cutting down the size of your side files by only including the things you edited and making use of setclassproperty could save a lot of space.

There were some localizations, like the Dark Trooper that seemed out of place. Might want to rename that unit.

As always, the map could use more cover and props, there's a fair bit of empty platform space.

I think putting some sort of barricade at the sides of cps 7 and 8 would be nice, prevent people from falling there.

Adding a deathregion would be good, once I fell I could see some floating objects from the ground.

Changing the opening satellite shot would be a good idea so it showcases the actual map.

A custom minimap would be nice on this map, I would be nice to know where the platforms and walkways are, sometimes I would start to head towards a CP only to later find out that I couldn't reach it from that direction.

The map was pretty well balanced from an Empire/Rebels perspective, but it tilts very much towards the player's team. I won by at least 48 and as much as 87 in my four playthroughs on Elite mode, balancing so that the AI team preforms better would make the map more competitive and enjoyable in my opinion.

And, like ARCTroopaNate already said, you could add some more props to the platforms, sometimes they're a bit empty. :)

I am absolutely amazed by this map! You've done such a great work!
It instantly reminded me of TFU, even before reading it was in fact inspired by it.
The layout, sides and visuals are awesomely fitting :thumbs:
Nevertheless it would be cool, if you could add some more Gonk and Medi Droids and a proper Minimap instead of an plain white surface ... and, like the others said, there could be also some more props to 'fill' the platforms a little more :)
I am looking forward for maybe a improved future releases of this superb map(?) :wink:

Just had 2 games, one as the Rebels and one as the Empire. GREAT! I absolutely LOVE the side changes for the Empire! Did you skin them yourself? (Apart from the heavy trooper and scout trooper cause they`re released assets) I have these things to say about it -

1. AI padding could be improved, however I think you state that above.

2. The Jettrooper is called a Dark Trooper, so as also stated above, mess around with the Localisation.

3. It was very easy to win as both sides. I forgot to look at the Empire but as the Rebels I won and still had about 100 men give or take a few, but that doesn`t mean it wasn`t fun as hell to play! Honestly, the difficulty isn`t a big problem.

4. It NEEDS death regions below it! AI kept falling down there and surviving, so I had to capture all the CP`s to win.

5. It has a little lack of content, just GCW and Conquest. Adding more gamemodes/eras) would be great and give your map more replayablilty. A cool idea I thought of while playing was a gamemode and/or era where it`s a whole bunch of Wookies vs the Empire. Or even Darth Vader vs a whole bunch of Wookies!

Overall, very good map. I love the fog on it and how the trees make the bottom of the map almost invisible. I like that when I look out at the map I just see a whole heap of trees, it gives the illusion that there`s much more map there and that I`m really on Kashyyyke! I`ll probably end up doing a video on it at some point on my YT channel
