Snowy Valley Battle (Beta v. 0.91)

Features:
- Jedi vs Clones: Order 66 style gameplay.
- Massive battle. There will be about 90 clones and 50 jedi on the field at the same time. The clones will have a reinforcement count of 350 and the jedi will have one of 200.
- The jedi will have clone commandos to help them.
- Custom hero for the jedi. Featuring small skin modification and combo modification.
- You start with a basic Jedi Padawan and you need points to unlock the commandos and better jedi units. 5 points for the Jedi Knight and Jedi Protector, 12 for the commandos and 25 for the Jedi Master.
- Due to "technical difficulties", the imperials lost their starting AT-TE". Another one will come to aid the imperials 3 minutes after the beginning of the battle. You can see how much time is remaining thanks to a small timer under the minimap.
- Imperial recolor for the AT-TE and the Forward Command Center. I just replaced the red in the skins with gray.
- The jedi have the Rebel voiceovers.

Currently working on:
- Need commandos. Currently have modified EP2 marine as placeholder. A good choice is Vyse's commando model, but it could use a better skin.
- The imperial hero is going to be a surprise, and will appear in a later version. Current placeholder is Darth Vader.
- Various junk.
- Good suggestions are welcome.

There's a snap to "GRID" (GRID is highlighted in yellow) that's causing your problems. Turn it off and you can adjust freely.

There is. Actually... there's no reason to play as the Padawan. The Knight has Force Push, while the Protector has more HP... a lot more.

And thanks for the praise! ^_^

Edit: I could make it that you start with the Padawan. With 5 points, you unlock Knight and Protector. What do you people think?

Map is cool. But I have some questions:
-Why you added ep2. clone to Jedi side?
-imho, jedi must not have regeneration health.

Entertaining.

I'd be more interesting, and, thus, more long-lasting if you could make the terrain and objects more...abroad.

(make it less of an open field)

Then again, alot of people like this style of map..

JK514, the answer to your question can be found in the first post. In the features AND in the "working on it" sections. If you can't find it, it's because I want to add clone commandos to the map and the EP2 marines are there as placeholders.

The jedi still have regeneration because of balancing issues... the imperials have the advantage in numbers.

The open field is there because I tried to make the map as close to the original idea as possible. And the original idea was a large battle in an openish area inside a valley. I am quite happy with what I came up with, considering this is my first attempt at maping. My very first test map does not count. :p

There is a problem. It crashed. It finished loading and it crashed 1 second after I selected my side. Something is wrong. I like the concept, but it isn't working properly.

Hey Dakker', you should look here. Vyse is giving out his commando mesh. So perhaps you could use that.

I think the jedi are too a disadvsntage, i havent been able to win a game using the jedi yet, reinforcements just decreasee too rapidly. I think the jedi need more health and i think the wookie warrior would be more logical to fight alonside them than the ep2 clone.

how about Darth Vader for the clone hero? assuming this takes place after ep III, it seems logical.

I find it easy to win as the Jedi. As a jedi protector, I can easily win without dying once. Loads of HP!

In the screenies, there is an indoor area. How do you get there? Is it possible to destory that shield over the hangar area?

That small indoor area is near the first jedi CP. It's just a short tunnel with a shield blocking the way.

Could you release this map on banango or rapidshare, savefiles
damages the files for me for some reason.

I am going to upload the next version at Filefront as soon as I get the AT-TE to spawn after a certain ammount of time. It isn't easy.

So you can't find why the map won't work for me? Maybe it is either:
a. Our 2 mission.lvl files may be different
b. there is something on either end damaging the file.

Try redownloading. Maybe the download was a bit corrupted or something.
