WWII: Germany Released!

Post by kajong »

I was inspired by Commandos Strike Force, a game based on World War 2 and decided to make this. Here is a link to the original version
http://files.filefront.com/WWIIzip/;510 ... einfo.html
Here's one to version 2.0
http://files.filefront.com/WWII_20zip/; ... einfo.html
and here's one to the topic

enjoy!

Can I request an alternative file link that uses higher compression? 7-zip and win rar would squash those lvls good.

I was good, it just needs to take place at night and have more protection and eye candy.

To make a zip file. ..you need to set it to lzma type compression.

When I 7ziped fort archive purposes, it got squashed to 75 mb.

Also, you may want to see about adding the crazy pop bang version as a new mode to the normal version, loading the defualt lvls in the lua and creating the pop bang side to be dependent on your other side lvls.

I have a feeling this idea got ignored but I think it's POSSIBLE to have physics in the game as long as you classify objects, like a crate, as a "vehicle".

A model classified as a "vehicle" can be pushed. Try pushing droidekas....

I liked it. Played with the 'pow' effects at first, seemed to get in my way, so i switched to the normal version. I like it :)

One thing to help the feel (if it hasn't been done yet - still dling) is to put chaingun effects on the infantry's rifles :)

yeah, that would make the shots more "bullet-like". also, the map seems kind of empty in places, maybe you could add more buildings to make it more close-quarters. Otherwise it is still a very awesome map!!!! :D

No^^
R for "Really sucks
F for "F.ing good"

Hmm, it's rather hard to distinguish the soldiers, and the germans wore grey/black uniforms in WW2.
Idea: Make the map a big one, but a like the world:
CP1 : Northern America, CP2 Great Britain, CP 3 France , CP 4 Germany, CP 5 Russia.

Russia has locals allied to the Allies^^
Allies start out with Northern America and Great Britain, and Axis start out with CP3 and CP4.

Its strange that when you throw a grenade its not flying like it should be when throwed..It falls next to you xD. And yea maybe you could add a little more countries so its more realistic.

Yeah the grenades need to be fixed. It kinda stinks to have to go right up next to a person you want to get with a grenade.
