From my own expiriences during the last years i can say you won´t be lucky if you want converting 3d models from one format to the other if you want them to place in a Game. It all ends in wrong sided polygons or corrupted polygons wich doesn´t count any collision and so on.
So bugfixing will eat more time than doing them from scratch.

Bandu, you may check out http://www.anim8or.com . It´s a free 3d modelling software and can convert stuff to wavefront .obj files wich you can import into XSI.

wow... and I just assumed that you were US based Sat! The animations look as if they're really coming along, are they for a forthcoming map or for eventual release as objects for all? jeez, I sound like one of those people pestering fred for news on SWBF2 :)

Cheers Rends il take a look .

Iv ended up just puttin a laser in as a sky dome object and speeding up the velocity ,aswell as upping the numbers . They work but there just not placed well ,very random. i guess its just a quick fix untill i can get animation workin. this would allow for good placement of lasers...... eg. 1 cap ship shooting another.
