How to create models in XSI and other 3D applications and make them work in Battlefront 1 & 2. Post models, tips for application usage and share anything XSI, 3DMax, SketchUp, etc.
I am making a raptor model in hopes of putting it into the Star Wars Battlefront 2. It will probably end up being a Utahraptor or Achillobator, but I am modeling it after the ones from Jurassic Park.
I have been using the subdivision method, or whatever it is called, and have been having a lot of fun. It started to feel like making a Spore creature after a while.

I might take it into Sculptris to add detail and make a normal map or something. I guess I will have to do polygon reduction on it before putting it in game.
Please post feedback on the model! Any tips for modeling it for SWBF2?

Wait a second...
Yeah, we definitely need this. I remember once thinking about having this as my unit for a GT map. I never made it though, but this is one mighty fine model so far. Great work!
If you made custom animations for this, that would be amazing.
Hey there -- I hate to bump an old thread, but this is a great and inventive concept. There is a chance I may be working on something similar. Did you ever make any further progress on the model? And do you -- or does anyone -- know what's going on with the skeleton? Would it indeed be a taun-taun skeleton? And is it possible to have that be a playable unit in this case? How would one go about figuring out the attacks of a creature with a taun-taun skeleton -- could you steal from other creatures' attacks or would you have to create custom animations?
Just a few thoughts and questions about your project that may also apply to my own possible project.
