Did I do something wrong? [Solved]

How to create models in XSI and other 3D applications and make them work in Battlefront 1 & 2. Post models, tips for application usage and share anything XSI, 3DMax, SketchUp, etc.

Did I do something wrong? [Solved]

Post by MissingTexture »

So I asked my friend to model something for me, but when I converted the file to .OBJ and placed it into XSI, and applied the texture via phong, I got this:

I tried flipping the texture in Photoshop, but that didn't work. I don't know what I did wrong, but, any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks

I'd say texture/UV flip, but if you already did that.... Can you show us a pic of the UVs?? (Alt+7)

I keep pressing alt+7 together, but no new window is popping up

Edit:
Just went to open it manually in View window and this is what I got:
Hidden/Spoiler:
Image
When I zoom out I just seem endless copies of this texture, not sure what that means?

Edit 2:
Highlighted point of the model and opened up Texture Editor in XSI, and the texture doesn't align properly. How do I fix it?

OK go to UVs and uncheck wrap in U/V. Then your texture is only shown once. Next you select everything (use point selection, or polygons) and move them to fit the texture. I don't think you need to redo everything. looks for me like just moving it a little bit down or u. use the move tool (v) and press left mouse to free move and use middle/right mouse button to just move in one direction.
