Messed-up textures
Hello, I have tried exporting some of my models and in certain places the textures are distorted.
Any thoughts?

Looks like your mesh's objects may have multiple UV projections. Could you please post a screenshot showing their expanded hierarchies like so?

Re: Messed-up textures
I had some really similar problems on big models some time ago.
I was able to fix them by scaling down the UVs in the texture editor
So if you made the UVs really big (much bigger than the picture in the texture editor), try scaling them down a bit

Re: Messed-up textures
This was actually modeled in Sketchup, so I don't have UV's. It is not a problem with the texture, since it works on other faces.
