I've added one strap/cinch, and gloss/specular, to the SWRH phase 1 clone, it looks great in both Modtool and SWBFViewer, but igame, it looks that way:

I don't know what is the best bone to attach something like that :s Any idea?
Is this an addon via odf or actually exported as part of the unit model? I ask because it looks like it wasn't enveloped to the model. To answer your question though, I usually use bone_ribcage for things like that.

It's originaly a chunck of model i took and put it to another model. So no it's not an addon via .odf.
If you did it in xsi then bone_ribcage is still your best bet, however you need to envelope the strap to that bone (select the strap, go to animate>set envelope, click yes to the popup, and then select the ribcage bone (expand the tree down to it beforehand so you can just click it). If you did it correctly the strap's vertices should turn blue.
