Select by texture?

Post by Teancum »

I'm looking to simplify some specific objects for a SBWF3 conversion to work well on the Xbox. Long story short a model of a room has pillars which I know are mapped to a specific texture. What I'd like to do is select all polygons with that texture and then run the polygon reduction tool on them. I've tried it with the entire model and while it works well on the pillars, the entrances to the room get skewed. The frame of the room, including the entrances, is fairly low poly, so I feel like with the ability to select by texture I can lower the poly count drastically by just reducing it on the pillars.

you can select the polygons from the cluster or if they are on multiple objects you can use the material manager and "select objects with this material"
