ATAP animation Question!

Hey guys! I have a question to everybody how knows a bit 'bout XSI!
Would it be possible to model an ATAP and give it the animation of the ATTE?But only 3 legs? As far as i know it is possible to copy animations IF the model has the extact bones like the animation wants.......and what if i give my atap the animation of ATTE and the other legs (bones) aren't used? Is it possible?

it probably wouldnt look right but i bet we could just make the animations because ive really been studying it and i think im really close.

Actually, when the ATAPs walked the front leg was tucked up underneath the cab. It was only extended when using the main cannon. It provided stability.

So, in reality it's a two-legged walker, so if you can find a model that works, trying to give it the ATST's anims might be best, though that's doubtful as well.
