How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
Hey guys, tonight I did something pretty stupid.
I downloaded the Convo pack, but I realized I had the 1.3 patch already on there. Now I've been through this before and seen the effects of what happened when I did this, but I forgot how to uninstall it. Anyone know how?

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
So you mean by uninstalling, you mean getting rid of the 3 letter word folder that has the 1.3 patch in it? Or the whole conversion? Well to get rid of the whole thing I'd just reinstall battlefront 2, it takes 2 minutes... But I might not be understanding you right.

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
Just the conversion pack. I want to be able to do it without having to uninstall BF2 (and I think that might hurt the uninstall if extra files are on there).

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
To uninstall the Conversion Pack (2.0+), just simply delete the BF1 folder from your addon folder and that's it.

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
That doesn't remove the v1.3 patch. To uninstall v1.3, one needs to run its installer (menu.bat) and select Uninstall or delete the folder and reinstall swbf2.Lozza wrote:...you mean getting rid of the 3 letter word folder that has the 1.3 patch in it...

Really? That's all? What about the 1.3 patch it installs along with it?AQT wrote:To uninstall the Conversion Pack (2.0+), just simply delete the BF1 folder from your addon folder and that's it.

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
Yes, that's all. The 1.3 patch is separate; it doesn't rely on the Conversion Pack.

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
So I can just delete the v1.3patch folder from my Gamedata folder?

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
Yes, you can delete the folder. The version you have is obsolete anyway so you might as well get the latest version of the patch (revision 129).

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
Revision 129? That's the full r117, right? Yeah, I have that. Which is why I wanted to uninstall the Convo pack in the first place, because I installed that before the Convo pack.

So - quick question. What is it exactly you think you want? What you're posting isn't consistent from post to post.[TFA]Padawan_Fighter wrote:Revision 129? That's the full r117, right? You want the Conversion Pack removed because you don't want the Conversion Pack (why did you download it and immediately remove it?)? Doesn't make sense, but all you do is remove the "BF1" folder from your addon.
You want the Conversion Pack removed because of something having to do with the 1.3 patch? Removing the Conversion Pack won't affect the 1.3 patch at all.
No, revision 117 is the full r117 (117=117). Revision 129 is newer.[TFA]Padawan_Fighter wrote:Revision 129? That's the full r117, right?

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
Well, where is it? I can't find it on Filefront.
Also, I wanted it removed because I had a mod (AAA-v1.3patch) already installed. And I've experienced this problem once before (The FPM models are invisible on some maps, and other bugs I don't remember), so I wanted to get rid of the Conversion pack, uninstall the 1.3 patch, THEN put the Conversion pack back on.

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
Ummm, that AAA folder IS the 1.3 patch, not another mod. I believe the addon folder for the patch was introduced in r117, but that was right when I got to GT, so my memory's a little fuzzy on that...[TFA]Padawan_Fighter wrote:Well, where is it? I can't find it on Filefront.

Here's the newest revision of the 1.3 patch (r129), straight from Zerted's site...
http://zerted.getmyip.com/swbf2/res/SWB ... %20129.exe
That should overwrite most of the files from eariler revisions with no need to uninstall/reinstall. So if you already have the conversion pack (2.0, then 2.2) on your computer, just run the r129 and everything should be fine.
Slightly off-topic, @Staff: Can we get that link to the latest 1.3 patch stickied somewhere? I'm kinda tired of hunting for it when people ask and the filefront link AQT gave me earlier is broken. Says something about ERROR_CONTENT_QUICKKEY_INVALID...
Anyway, it is pretty much essential to half the mods on GT, so a quick link to r129 would be great, considering the next closest thing to a quick download of it is bundled with Dark Times 2...

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
Okay, listen dude, I KNOW it's the 1.3 patch. I'm saying I installed that BEFORE I installed the Convo Pack, and that caused problems. Get it now?
But I already uninstalled it, and everything's fixed now. Thanks everyone.

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
Okay, that shouldn't cause problems. Cuz I did, too. What I did was v1.3 patch, Convo pack 2.0, Convo Pack 2.2, v1.3 patch r129. Works like a dream. The r129 should overwrite any files that cause problems from the patch, and thats really the only thing connected to the convo pack, so it wouldnt be a file from the pack itself.

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
Well, did for me anyways. But, how do you install this onto BF2? Do you just put it in the addon folder? It's default destination is C:\Program Files\LucasArts.

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
I'm going to assume it installs to the default location. Unless you have Win7/Vista, in which case it will be Program Files (x86), because it doesn't just affect the addon folder, but also the SIDE folder, and sound, and probably a couple others...
If not, then yeah try adjusting it to the GameData folder, then if that doesnt work, the addon folder.

Re: How to uninstall Conversion Pack?
OK, so apparently you just direct it to Lucasarts/Star Wars Battlefront II.
