Ipod Apps
I just got an Ipod Touch for Christmas and was wondering if anyone knew some decent apps.

Re: Ipod Apps
I hear Tap Tap Revolution is lots of fun, and Tap Tap Revenge. And them games.
And if you're into social networking, there are some great Twitter and Facebook apps out there.

Lessee what I got.......
Free Games
Free:
Btw, it's also helpful to get a dictionary app as well.
There are some free ones but really, the paid ones are much better.

- Need For Speed Shift
- Finger Physics
- Rock Band
- Assassin's Creed
- Asphalt 5
- Real Racing

Re: Ipod Apps
Here's what turned up on my iPod that I find simply amazing for hours of time wasting. Some of them are games, some of them are not. Check 'em out. They're all free (some via getting the lite versions) with two awesome exceptions. I recommend checking out the lite version of the apps that have them before purchasing the full one, just in case...
Peggle: $1.99
Lightsaber Unleashed: Free
Star Wars Trench Run: $3.99? (probably one of the best flight sims in the AppStore....and its Star Wars...)
MaxInjury: $0.99 (lite version available. Lite includes 3 out of 15 awesome levels, plus they add more every once in a while)
Minesweeper: Free
WarpDefense: Free (Tower Defense game)
Pandora Radio: Free
iPity: Free (Mr. T soundboard. Epic.)
PapiJump: Free
PAC-MAN: $2.99 (lite version available...I just have the lite version becauue its one level and all PAC-MAN levels are the same)
Eliminate Pro: Free
Aaaand if you have xfire...
iBlaze: $1.99
I know $2 sounds like too much for to access a free program, but sometimes its nice just to be able to check in and chat with your friends if you're out of town or something.
EDIT: get Pocket God...I forgot it up there, but get it...it gives you gratuitous amounts of fun for only $0.99

Didnt see anyone say iShoot.
Its a tank artillery shooting turn based angle and velocity buy new weapons kind of game.
It has a lite version but the the full version has more weapons, and a weapon editor.

Re: Ipod Apps
Games I have and can vouch for (typing this from itouch)
Soozis: it's a cute platformers in a 2d sense similiar to Mario galaxy. It's easily one of the best games on the itouch.
Modern Combat: Sandstorm: Its a very nice shooter game, and it's got multiplayer.
Jelly car 1 and 2: Both great games, as it was said above, indescribeable.
Fieldrunners: Its gotten numerous awards from IGN and other magazines and media rating sites, and it's a nice game to play.
Springer: its a simple, but very fun swing based platformer. Hard to describe.
FML:
Need for Speed: Undercover: hours and hours of good racing gameplay.
Light Bike Free: Tron with bikes
Snail Mail Free: it's a fun game; you're a snail (superfast) trying to get to a goal and avoid obstacles.
Skyworks Table Tennis Free: ping pong for those who think they're finger/screen coordinated.
MotoChaser: it's a bike driving game with a vague goal of saving your cat.
Bobs Dream: it was my first game, and while it's a blatant mario rip off, it's done well.
Flood it: a fun puzzle game
Auto Mangle Lite: old but great: you're a car in an arena with powerups and you must destroy other cars.
That's what I have so far.

I have Advanced English Dictionary & Thesaurus.
It's paid, but I really like it, it's a nice interface and you can bookmark words.

It has a database of over 275,000 definitions, no internet needed except to download it, its totally free, and it even comes with a thesaurus if you need one.

Re: Ipod Apps
Problem is that you need Wi-fi to use it, otherwise I would have gotten it too.
Sometimes, when you're on the road you don't have wi-fi.
