The second one is really eerie, and is silent hill a game or something? all the comments were like 'I wanna play this game" and stuff.

A series of games and a movie. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I can guarantee that the games (well, the first three, at least) are great psychological thrillers, maybe they aren't as "in your face" as some other horror games like, say, Dead Space, but they have an amazing atmosphere; sometimes the scariest thing isn't the monsters, but the setting, and Silent Hill excels at that.

It's very gripping, especially when you understand that the town itself and the creatures are manifestations of the character's subconcious (kinda like the people in the movie Inception, but in a disturbing "my face is just a blob and I don't have any arms" way), their frustrations and anxieties coming alive in an eerie freak show.

I'll pass on that game, I saw a few 'nice' screenshots. And is dead space scary? I planned on buying it. Well I play scary games but not games that have screamers/shockers. Although I do love the shock effect on youtube.
