Re: Update to SWBF MSH Viewer
I can export my VRML files to MSH and they work fine, but I can't get textures to work . They are .tga files, and are 256x256....I don't know whats wrong. Can you help me tipam? I'm learning how to model with a free program called Blender, which can export to VRML files .

Tipam, I can't download the msh viewer
Could you possibly load it onto filefront?

Re: Update to SWBF MSH Viewer
Here is an updated SWBF_BF2List file for Tipam's SWBFViewer.
This update adds the space assets msh files to the SWBF2 list under the new Space category at the bottom of the list.
To Install:
Backup or rename the original SWBF_BF2List file and replace it with this updated one.
To Uninstall:
Delete the updated SWBF_BF2List file and restore the original.
Enjoy!
EDIT (May 3, 2015)
Link updated to file, now includes msh files from world PC folders

Re: Update to SWBF MSH Viewer
Hey I tried the same thing and it seems that Blender doesent like linking its vrml files to the images. Im working on this and it involves manual editing of the .wrl file. So far I have gotten the model in MSH viewer be different colors, but no textures are shownMasterFang1 wrote:I can export my VRML files to MSH and they work fine, but I can't get textures to work . Re: Update to SWBF MSH Viewer
I'm having similar issues with 3DS Max 7. Textures work but UVs don't come through.asleeponduty wrote:Hey I tried the same thing and it seems that Blender doesent like linking its vrml files to the images. Re: Update to SWBF MSH Viewer
Tipam, if you don't mind, I would really appreciate it if you'd PM me a detailed description of the msh file format. I'm doing a lot of work with it lately, and because I have no easy and definite source, my work has been darastically slowed. Thanks.

Biohazard, I don't think Tipam will read your request. He hasn't been online on gametoast for 1 year. (You could ask around to see if anyone here is still in contact with him/can come in contact with him)

Re: Update to SWBF MSH Viewer
Actually, that's for SWBF1, and its for the information stored in the lvl file, rather than the msh. It might be similar, but I will have you know that site is linked to as a source on my msh tool topic anyhow
Thanks anyway, though.

Re: Update to SWBF MSH Viewer
everything from chunk down should be relevant, even if it is for swbf1. it used the same system
