Got an NVIDIA GPU? Look here.

Post by Penguin »

http://www.steampowered.com/nvidia/

Anyone with an Nvidia GPU can get
  • Portal: First Slice (11 Level demo.)
(The Full Portal game is 16+ Levels.)
  • Half Life 2: Deathmatch (Multiplayer Hl2 FFA (DeathMatch) game.)
hl2DM allows you to get nearly any Source Mod game (Zombie Panic! Source for example, or Zombie Master, etc
  • Half Life 2: Lost Coast A single level demo in the Hl2 universe) Includes Dev Commentary where they talk about the new HDR system and some level designing.
  • Peggle Extreme A puzzle game.
    I haven't played it ever <.<

Yea, I'm glad I got that, now I have HL2:DM 5$ value, plus like 6 source mods.

Peggle Extreme is pretty fun actually, but I'm not all that great at it.

Everyone who can should get it. That way you get a 5$ game for free a large demo of a 20$ game for free, and you get to play Source Mods = EPIC WIN!

Indeed. I don't have an NVIDIA card, but my friends do so they logged on for me and applied me for it. Now I get HL2:DM (which is epic fun) and Source Mods (which are also fun) and I get the Source SDK which lets me Source mod for myself!

A great deal, for everyone who has NVIDIA cards. I'd suggest getting it, all of you.

A must get. It gets you started into source mods which are decent enough to be games bought from steam, but they are free :runaway:

SWEET!
Does that mean I can get Garry's Mod if I had HL2: Deathmatch?
Or is that only with the full version of HL2?
I guess I'm pretty new to the whole Source gaming stuff, so that's why I don't know much about it all!

That's amazing though! :D

[EDIT]
I'm so glad I got that NVIDIA AGP instead of the ATI PCI card :D

GMod 10? yes.

Usually when stuff says it requires HL2, all that really means is a Source game, and the Source SDK

Beware though, that they offer the same deal for ATI cards (at least certain ones...) and anybody can get first slice, or I did somehow. (Maybe because I had Half life?)

The ATI offer may have been discontinued. Also, when choosing a card, keep in mind that the Orange box is only about 50 dollars flat now and Lost Coast isn't much, and both it and DM come free with Half Life which retails under $20.

Also, I'm not a GPU fan, I buy the best deal at the moment. Right now I'm on an ATI, but the Mobo I'm looking at is SLI capable...

Yep anyone can get First Slice, but Half-Life2: Deathmatch, a $10 dollar value and reason I can now play mods, is the reason I got this offer.

Deathmatch is great in itself. The Source Mods and SDK are extras. ;)

Oh, and glad you got Steam. Join the [GT]Source Mods group and I'll add you as a friend when I get the chance.

This deal doesn't unlock Source SDK so you can't install mods or anything :(

DM should unlock the SDK for you. Also you dont need the SDK to install mods. Just the game that the mod might require.

Well I looked it up and it said that the free version of DM doesn't unlock it. So I guess neither does First Slice or Lost Coast.
The SDK doesn't show up in my tools tab. And so far I only have demos and free versions so I can't do much.
