Rather newby CS:S modding question.

Post by tsurugi13 »

I'm trying to get into modding again, and thought Source might be a good place to start. I own Counter Strike: Source, and have quickly run headlong into a stupid problem. I create an interior, no gaps whatsoever, and add 6 info_player_counterterrorist entities as well as 6 info_player_terrorist entities. None of them are overlapping either each other or any other models. The compiler window offers no handy errors, and when I run the map the game insists that both teams are full. Am I missing something here?

Those exist? Hurm. That could be it. Any ideas as to how I would go about adding those? I'm new at this. Thanks for the reply!

Sorry Gen.Kenobi, but your thinking like a SWBF2 modder. I mod CSS and I know you don't need a buyzone, you just won't be able to buy any weapons. I encountered this problem a while ago but I can't remember how I fixed it. Try moving the spawn entities away from eachother, and slightly off the ground.

Haha. I don't think there's anything wrong with your map, but more with the server settings. If you have any bots, remove them. I'd also put a few info_player_ entities for each team just in case.
