Re: BF0 Custom Heroes
I was about to ask, since you technically had Kit before the crash, you're not voicing him? And then I remember he never had a voice beforehand. >.<
And are you still having troubles with Kit's anims?

Re: BF0 Custom Heroes
Most heroes lost their assets, but I'm changing odf-sound lines through the lua: this way, even shipped heroes can have new sounds without having to munge.. Also, since i'm giving fool a bit more time, Kit has some very nice kicking anims now.. Vid up soon i hope?Fluffy_the_ic wrote:I was about to ask, since you technically had Kit before the crash, you're not voicing him? And then I remember he never had a voice beforehand. >.<

Re: BF0 Custom Heroes
Added Cad Bane's info. For now, he's only available in hero assault. I will include him in a ZERO Squad mission though.. That would be lovely, since I can't find any large-scale battle he was on. Still have some trouble with the Stunner, hope that Mav' or Sky could help me

Dude, that Bane is pretty Awesome. The Confederacy is getting away with a lot of awesome gunner heroes.

Not sure what your problem is, but all you need to do is ask.MandeRek wrote:Still have some trouble with the Stunner, hope that Mav' or Sky could help me
Cad Bane looks really well-done, the texture is definitely a step up from the textures on some past models!

Dude, Cad Bane looks awesome! But in the episode, his pistols were gray, and these are white. Are you going to reskin them?

Re: BF0 Custom Heroes
Thanks man, I worked really long on making the texture, through skinning, also lego-ing it in one file, and in the end, making the UVs fit well.. This is really a nice remarkMaveritchell wrote:Not sure what your problem is, but all you need to do is ask.MandeRek wrote:Still have some trouble with the Stunner, hope that Mav' or Sky could help me

The problem is stunners: how can i make a opponent freeze? I was thinking of choke without damage, but that would mean you need to hold the fire button, but it's supposed to be 1 shot I guess..

Re: BF0 Custom Heroes
It's an easy .lua weapon - you just deactivate an entity whenever it gets hit by a certain weapon. I'm pretty sure Saitek posted a tutorial on one way to do it in the "Released Assets" forum somewhere.MandeRek wrote:The problem is stunners: how can i make a opponent freeze? Re: BF0 Custom Heroes
How many opponents do you want to be frozen at once? This has a pretty big effect (because to many will make your freeze weapon freeze the game). Also what kind of weapon is the "stunner" (nade, laser, etc)

Re: BF0 Custom Heroes
It's a single shot, which should freeze the targeted/thing hit. I'll take a search at the tuts tomorow, learning for exams now!!Skyhammer_216 wrote:How many opponents do you want to be frozen at once? Re: BF0 Custom Heroes
Cad Bane, what a pleasant surprise... He looks amazing
Awesome job!
Awesome job!
This is all true. In the beginning, she holds it backwards as her own unique style. As she begins to learn more from Anakin, her lightsaber technique varies from backwards to normal.Commander_Fett wrote:Half the time she holds it backwards, half normaly.Gen.Kenobi wrote:I dunno, if anyone noticed, but Asoka Tano, should'n hold her lightsaber backyards?

Re: BF0 Custom Heroes
Besides, she's not cool enough to hold it backwards. Only Starkiller is.

No. Not transformers. (But T-formers are still cool)

Re: BF0 Custom Heroes
Custom Lightsaber Hilts
Some spare time on school, my laptop, and the urge to make this more and more detailed (hench the hero sounds which are finally going to be added) made me make this.. For now, I could only add in custom pistol models. Most Jedi are in the munged file, which can't be edited through lost assets. Still, for 4 heroes, and all new ones, here are the custom saber hilts.
Objective: Overall low-poly models, with loads of detail
Reference: Wookieepedia popped up some saber hilt pictures, and other references are from action-pics, also wookiee
Why: I think this adds nice to the heroes, it makes them different and more special than common Jedi from Battlefront 2
In combination with: The heroes will also feature custom sounds, and some will have custom animations!
Compare: The old standard is next to the model in the pic, to compare them for scalement, etc.
Kit Fisto's (Green Blade)
Plo Koon's (Pure Blue Blade)
Luminara Unduli's (Green Blade)
Artel Darc's (Red Blade)
*Sorry for the bump! This post is also added in the first post. Hilts are already ingame. 3D Viewer is more detailed

Wow, that's a huge difference. Those lightsaber hilt models are very well done.
It's a huge improvement over the original version, good work!
