Re: Felucia: Mineral Basin
I've always loved the lighting in your maps; this is no exception.
I have one qualm though, the sky seems a little too low-rez.
Though I know it's a stock texture, try using a custom, higher-resolution sky
Right now, the low-resolution of the sky looks out of place with all the beautiful scenery.
You could just edit the custom sky to be as green as you need it.

Re: Felucia: Mineral Basin
YaNkFaN, you never cease to amaze...one good map after another. With some better sky, this map will easily surpass stock Felucia. Excellent work to speck and yank both!

Re: Felucia: Mineral Basin
Is it me, or is there only ONE type of flora prop in teh screenie?
Maybe you should add more types, like perhaps that Bubbly one.
Still, GJ

Re: Felucia: Mineral Basin
For some reason, that really reminds me of Felucia from the PS3 version of The Force Unleashed..... the Imperial Occupied one I mean.YaNkFaN wrote:Enjoy Guys YaNkFaN is back making maps for BF:0 and this was made a while ago it was just sitting on my comp

YaNkFaN, you are the best mapper for SWBF II EVER when it comes to the visuals.
How do you make them look so amazingly amazing?

lighting mostly and then playing with .fx and sky really there's not that much visually you can do for bf2 it's mainly lighting and shadows and textures

Re: Felucia: Mineral Basin
I just integrated the map into BF0 and must say this is the best map I've played so far, Pandemic wise.. Why Pandemic wise? The setup of the map is really good, with all CPs and roads, just amazing. The ambiance made by lighting, small objects and a great FX (I think) make this map completely original, thus making it so Felucia-feeling!
Then, I added the AT-AP, Snailtanks, AATs and ATRTs, and there is enough space for them, and they really contribute to the battle in this map. Conclusion: YaNkFaN, two thumbs aren't enough to describe how awesome this map is
I included the info in the 'Battlefront Zero; Finished Maps', here:
http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... 69#p264769
Hope you're okay with it YaNk, the CIS hero will probably be the Gossam Female (Shu May or something like that?)

Re: Felucia: Mineral Basin
According to me, Pandemic is a really bad company, well, at least when they are working with LucasArts.MandeRek wrote:I just integrated the map into BF0 and must say this is the best map I've played so far, Pandemic wise.. I'd rather compare him with Valve or Raven (the JKA guys). Really, I can't wait till I can get my hungry claws on this map.
