What was your first Star Wars merchandise?

Post by AQT »

Aside from the movies themselves on home media? Me, I'm not too sure. It was either a box of Rebel Hoth soldiers Miro Machines (my little sister got Stormtroopers, or was it the other way around? *shrug shoulders*) or LucasArts Archives Volume I and II box sets. So how about everyone else? We all at one time had to have owned a first Star Wars product... right? 8)

Probably the Original Trilogy which we got for Christmas when I was about 7 or so.

Mine? Well my Dad had a bunch of stuff. But the first thing that was legitimately mine that I paid for with my own money was actually Star Wars: Battlefront. If we're reffering to gifts, then I got an electronic lightsaber after Episode II came out in 2002. Bear in mind that I didn't see Star Wars for the first time until 1999, and it took me a while to fully appreciate it and get hooked enough to want stuff.

I don't remember exactly what my first-ever Star Wars toy was, but when I first became interested in Star Wars my favorite toys were the Action Fleet vehicles - I'm pretty sure my first toy from that line was the X-wing that came with Biggs Darklighter.

when empire strikes back came out I got a watch that plays the star wars theme..i loved it! Since then I have gathered many cool things like figures, models, masks, costumes and vehicles. My tusken raider outfit has been in parades and used by 501st peeps, now I use it during parties to be "the" coolest costume ever..I would buy some more stuff but no one really sells cool star wars stuff unless its a jillion dollars

A flimsy plastic darth Vader mask about 16? years ago as a free toy from a supermarket, I think I was five-ish so I didn't even know what the mask was from. I wore it a lot though, pretending to be some robotic superhero guy.

Then in 1999 when episode 1 came out I got interested in Star Wars and I got dozens of junk then precious to me :D lego, posters, a jar-jar binks mug....

I also remember one of those lolly-pop things with (gross) candy (what the hell is that rockhard sticky translucent pink stuff anyway) at the bottom and a Qui-gon figure at the top who "slashed" his saber if you pushed a button. (In slow-mo, *bzzzzzzzzzzzt FLOP*, *bzzzzzzzzzzzzzt FLOP*)
At a later age I noticed that if one removed the lightsaber from his hands, he a made rather rude one-handed gesture. Hehe

:funny2:

I had something similar, a Darth Maul figure with his lightsaber hilt as a toy lightsaber and if you plugged Maul into it and pushed a button he was swinging around his saber.

Pretty fun, pretty fun...

Eh, finding all the pieces and putting them back together is half the fun of Legos. :)

For me it's more like 3/4 of the fun.

I've still got it somewhere, along with a massive box full of similar sets and action figures of assorted sizes.
