This one, I felt, was far less problematic than the second (hyperspace thing). Rey/Finn had presumably already plotted a course on the navcomputer before Han hauled them in, and the gravity well of a starship should be negligible. I've got nothing for the second one. I'm sure I'll rationalize it eventually, but I too wasn't a fan. The more the rules of a universe get broken (even if it's just for a "one in a million" shot), the less unique it seems. Gravity wells as a hard limiter is a fun limitation.
