What haze?
Maybe I'm imagining things, but it looks like the fog settings have an orange-ish color that kicks in at a fairly low distance. Or it could just be the lighting. Either way, the end result makes it looks kind of hazy. For comparison, I think your Korriban map has a similar effect.

Most of my maps have been small-to-medium sized, none of them are conducive to flying aircraft/starfighters around. (Also if there are vehicles for a map I will have mentioned it in the original post.)
Ya, that's true. If not starfighters, then any bike or land speeders?

Normally I don't see point of bikes in maps unless to get around. I like vehicles that also can be used AGAINST you rather than ONLY BY you. AI don't really like bikes...

Landspeeders are fine though. STAPS are a special speeder I think will fit fine too.

You will have to wait and see, I suppose. The LOD 0 distance is longer than normal (I rarely make low-rez models of the main parts of a map), and so necessitates a fairly large NearSceneRange (for comparison, this one is a longer LOD 0 view distance than any map in the mod except for Taris). I do always use the distance fog (where it does show) to match the lighting of the map, and it is orange (or yellow) in both the daytime and evening settings. If you see any tint it's at an extreme distance, and making the LOD 0 draw distance longer would be wasteful.

Mav', this looks really good  You don't need me telling this since you've heared it many times before, but I'm sure Dark Times II will be one of the most wanted mods for BF2, and that's logical, because of all the work you've put into it!

It looks pretty nice, you've set up a really beautiful environment there! I like the idea of the 'crop' fields with the neatly arranged crops, that's probably my favourite shot, and these little things you put into the map (like the water splashing on the rocks) make it many times better. Always the little details, nice work :D
Are you planning on having a backdrop? eg. Mountains, hills, windmills, houses... however I see your point of the farmland being relatively flat, so it might be unnecessary or look 'wrong' with the environment. It might look nice, but I'm not to judge.

My design concept was an isolated farm:

I don't plan on adding any more to it scenery-wise; in fact, originally it was just going to be surrounded by rolling hills, but I decided that the Dantooine trees were iconic enough that I should work them in somehow. Midwest North America was the defining image here, and so I went for a prairie/savanna-type environment.

This map looks really good mav, one of the better outdoorsy ones in a while, to me it looks pretty close to the PSP
Elite Squadron dantooine map.
