This is it. Notch is undoubtedly adding slenderman to 1.8. Note how he calls them Endermen. Click!

I don't see why not. I would certainly hope so. Although I imagine it'll be something of a colossus kill - the murder of a beautiful 3 meter tall beast.

I love how people are freaking out.

"OMG He can't make the sun round, the game is supposed to be blocky! Nuuuu!"

When they haven't see the new sun/moon. It's a circle, made of blocks. It's still blocky!

I vote for "round".
