Testing a Server
Hello GTers! I've been attempting to set up a server lately but, I need people to test it. Such things are like:
1) Getting Connected
2) Lag
IP:
I will copy over the old GT Server whitelist so you all can connect but, please tell me if I missed anyone. I will attempt to keep this up all day until around 10:30 PM EST.
Thank you!

Re: Testing a Server
I was afraid of that, I don't think the ports are opened and I know that I have opened them...

I cannot connect either. "Can't reach server" if it helps.

Re: Testing a Server
So I hopefully got my IP to be static so that shouldn't be an issue anymore.
Though the ports are still giving me problems. *sigh*

Re: Testing a Server
I apologize for the troubles, I'm working on finding the solution right now but I am having a great deal of difficulty in doing so.

Re: Testing a Server
Grah, I am at a total loss. The only thing I did differently this time is allow both the Minecraft_Server.exe and the ports through my firewall but, I doubt I'll get this to work anytime soon.

Port forward through your router, as well?

Re: Testing a Server
Back when I was running just a little local server for me and friends my biggest problem is that I didn't forward the port.ecko_66 wrote:Port forward through your router, as well?

Re: Testing a Server
Yup. This is all you should need to do. Your router is the main thing the server needs to get through, not the firewall (although I'm sure allowing it through that, as well, wouldn't hurt).DrakusFett wrote:Back when I was running just a little local server for me and friends my biggest problem is that I didn't forward the port.ecko_66 wrote:Port forward through your router, as well?

Re: Testing a Server
Nonono, I did both so I'm pretty sure I am unable to do so. I've fowarded through my router and firewall, so I don't know.

Re: Testing a Server
PM me step by step what you've done
(IE Step 1: download minecraft_server.exe
Step 2: open up router admin page in browser)
We'll see if we can't get this figured out.
