Who's playing TOR and where?

Post by Maveritchell »

In case you were unaware, The Old Republic early access starts today, so today people start populating the servers for the first time (at least with characters that will last). I had invites to a couple rounds of the beta, and it was fun enough that I decided to pull the trigger and buy the game; try it for a few months, at least.

If you've had the chance to play the game, you'll (if you're like me) know that the group quests are one of the most fun things to do. In that light, I'd love to make sure I have a character on the same server as some other GTers and group together.

So if you're playing and you've decided on a server, post it here - let's plan to play together. It'll be fun!

My guild failed to meet assignment requirements so no server linked for me. Which I'm happy about. It was a small group of my friends and I'm not even sure how many are getting TOR. I have it preordered at GS but didn't care to get my early access key. I'm going on a cruise between Xmas and New Years so why waste part of my free month. I'll pick it up like Jan 8th when the spring semester starts.

So in other words, I don't have a server and will probably just do whatever. If a good portion of GTers are some where I'll join them.

When you guys do get the chance to hop on, I'll be on the server "Kathol Rift" as Maveritchell, Jedi Consular.

Pfft... my internet went all fuzzy on my PC. Every thing else worked fine though, so I couldn't download the early access... oh well. How's the game treating you guys?

I've had lots of fun playing as a healer; right now I'm a level 22 Jedi Sage and I'm working my way through Taris. Taris is a lot of fun; it's (obviously) got a lot of throwbacks to the original KotOR. There's one story section where it launches into the Old Republic theme, and it's neat hearing that again.

I'll be out of town in a couple days, but anytime tomorrow or the 21st, let me know if you want me to group with you for the Flashpoints (or the Coruscant heroic quests).

We now know when our Aussie and New Zealand friends can join, if they haven't already imported them.

Ugh... my order has been delayed it seems; the credit card I used months ago had it's expiration date changed, and yesterday Amazon notified me of this error... Now Amazon says that it won't be coming in by at least the 25th... I hope that is a mistake, because I chose Priority shipping...
*sigh* That's Murphy's Law I suppose... :cpu:
Good thing I have KotOR 1 and 2 to keep me busy. :D

EDIT
:runaway:
It came in today! I'm probably won't be playing until later on today, since I want to finish KotOR before I play though.

Double posting is against the RULES; please EDIT your post instead -Staff

Great! Remember, if you're playing Republic, start up a character on the Kathol Rift server. It'll be fun to put together a GT group to do Flashpoints and Heroics.

Just reached level 10, so now I can choose my advance class. I'm not sure what to choose though... Should we have another healer(Commando) or do we need a tank (Vanguard)?

Edit:
After some thought, I believe I'm better suited as Vanguard. When I'm fighting, I often lose track of my health and my surroundings, which has lead me to some avoidable defeats...
Anyway, how many of us here are Republic players?

Edit:
I got my ship yesterday. I believe my family are going out for dinner tonight, so I have some time to kill until then. I'll be on Coruscant today mostly launching suicidal attacks on the massive SD-0 heroic world boss. Should be fun for at least three tries. :P

I've been looking for you online, but I haven't seen you.

So has anyone done the "Jedi Prisoner" set of Flashpoints (Taral V and Maelstrom Prison)? I really like the way those two played together.
