I think that's as close as it gets to your question. He doesn't make any extra stipulations like "...but you can go somewhere else if you really need it," or "...if your lot is really cool you can put it wherever."Must be at most 60m x 60m at ALL heights.

Fine then. No real estate outside the city.Maveritchell wrote:And that was two years ago. The rules are (as quoted above):General_Nate wrote:http://www.gametoast.com/forums/viewtop ... lit=houses

How did you get more than one lot?

I asked. I don't know whether it had any bearing or not, but it might be worth noting that at that point I'd already done a lot for the map.Darth_Squoobus wrote:Fine then. Re: New DMI Policy
It probably best to stick with one lot, unless Rep gives the go-ahead.
If he ever will, he hasn't been on in forever. It's almost like hes forgotten about us...
Once one (non-moderator) person gets one, everyone will want one.

There's this thing called a "life". Some people have one.General_Nate wrote:...and when was the last time he posted there?

I know, its a little hard to believe, but its true.
Just be patient.

I was just making a point. You didn't have to tell me I have no life.RogueKnight wrote:There's this thing called a "life". Some people have one.General_Nate wrote:...and when was the last time he posted there?

RougeKnight, I like you and all, and I have a lot of respect for you, but sometimes you come across a little rude.

Re: New DMI Policy
He was actually referring to the fact that Rep has more things going on in his life than he did previously and so does not have as much time to mod. Pointless arguement anyway, when Rep has something to post he will.
In the meantime, patience my young padawans and please stay on topic.

Re: New DMI Policy
@Darth_Squoobus & Mav, I gave Mav a second lot because he had a custom building model to fill it up. I'll be happy to give people two lots if they fill both lots with a detailed custom building model with an interior. This is like incentive for people to model their own buildings and add character and uniqueness to the city.
And sorry that I haven't been on gametoast since like... February. I'm facing one of the toughest school workloads of my life, and rarely do I find the time or motivation to mod.
Nevertheless, I made a commitment to DMI and to my Coruscant map, and I will finish both at some point. I'm really aiming at August 1st as a deadline for DMI and my other map because soon thereafter I leave for college.

Re: New DMI Policy
Just think of the extra time as time to perfect your additions.
Yeah, my last quarter at college is definitely being my busiest one. But after that, it's looking that I'll have a full month of free time before I start working No one owes anyone here anything. If you've got more important things to do, do them.

I completely forgot about this project. I had something in the works for this project ages ago, but I see now that the plan has been completely revamped. Since claims are no more, I'll just continue working on what I originally had. How many are actually working on something for this though?

Re: New DMI Policy
There's quite a few who started something/forgot about it/still are tweaking things, but I haven't received anything from them. I'm thinking when summer rolls around, people will have more free time, and if they see others working on it, they may be more inclined to work on it as well.phazon_elite wrote:How many are actually working on something for this though?
I'm going to push to get version 1.0 out by the end of the summer. I have to finish putting in Mav's wonderful sides that he made, then decide how/if to make an "rpg" game mode. More and more, it's looking like I may just put spawn points in and let people run around, and that'd be it. Unless there's something easy to do that pays off entertainment-wise.
I mean even if a system as complicated as battle arena 2.0 were to be created, this still gets boring after a short time anyways. If an rpg scenario like Mav's were to be created, it'd be amazing but time consuming to make, and the replay-ability is not very high. The bf2 engine limits us from doing much else with it (at least without major pains and work-arounds). So I don't really know what to do...
Edit: please place all discussion regarding what to do from here and future planning in this thread, thanks:
