Re: Dune Sea: Sunset v2.0 Released
I think their doing maintenance work as I tried to download CodaRez's Tusken rifle, and I got the same error message you're talking about.
Anyway that download is out of date now as I've completed the new version, and will be uploading it somewhere soon.
Updated the first post with version 2.0, and have deleted the now outdated final version.

Re: Dune Sea: Sunset Version 2.0 Released pg 2
I always make the mistake of putting the wrong code in for pictures. I used img tags, and I think the main site only takes html, but I'm not sure. Also, the only person who can edit the detail pages is Jaspo, which is a bug in the system but I don't think he's around anymore.Anakin wrote:download works

Anyway, it's the same pic as my avatar.
Also if anyone finds any bugs in this release, please report them in this thread. Thanks!

The reason is, anyone who uploads a map shows the creator to be Jaspo on the details page. So the system registers his account to each upload that is posted.

You can upload stuff, you just can't edit the details after you've uploaded it.Anakin wrote:i hear this the first time and i upload self things on Gametoast

Update - Added CodaRez's Tusken Cycler Rifle with scope for the Tusken Hunter (sniper)

Looks much better than the stock rifle

I'm making a final version, and will be adding 1flag CTF, Hero Assault, and possibly support for The Dark Times conquest if I can follow the instructions. In order to make the best possible final version please report any bugs or issues with the current 2.0 release, as I do miss stuff.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Dune Sea: Sunset Version 2.0 Released
If you're going to add support for Dark Times conquest and I haven't already updated the "how-to" topic to include stuff for the new version of Dark Times, PM me and I'll make sure you're adding Rising Son support and not just Dark Times support.Jendo7 wrote:I'm making a final version, and will be adding 1flag CTF, Hero Assault, and possibly support for The Dark Times conquest if I can follow the instructions. Thanks Mav. I see you’ve already updated it. If I have any trouble which I probably won't, would it be better to send you a pm or leave a message in the "How To" thread.

If you have any trouble, just ask the question somewhere in the Dark Times subforum - if it's a public question, it can help anyone else who may have a similar question in the future.

Just a little suggestion (If you taking them), it might be cool if you could update Darth Maul and maybe give him a hood and cape, maybe even a single bladed lightsaber, like the way we see him on Tatooine in the movieJendo7 wrote:I'm making a final version, and will be adding 1flag CTF, Hero Assault, and possibly support for The Dark Times conquest if I can follow the instructions. Re: Dune Sea: Sunset Version 2.0 Released
That's a good idea, I'll see what I can do.
Edit: Thu Aug 05, 2010 5:23 pm
Just added Dark Times II support for conquest only, including DTII land vehicles, plus the usual modes hero assault, and 2 flag CTF. So I'm pretty much finished with this conversion, and will release the final version to SWbattlefront files soon. My next map will be of my own design.

From the Readme:
You don't need it if your just playing regular conquest though, the Dark Times era just wont show up.

Re: Dune Sea: Sunset Version 3.0 Released
on principle i never read the readme because normaly it says allways:
"instal: extract the file (the readme file is in the zip?? so i still have extract it) and then put it in the gamedata/addon folder.
unistall: remove it
credits:....
i hope you enjoy......."

Yeah!, your right... mine's a bit like that. I think it's better if readmes also contain a background story... just makes it a bit more interesting.

Re: Dune Sea: Sunset Version 3.0 Released
That may be the case, but if you have a question the first place you should look should be the readme that you had previously ignored. I don't think it's a good habit to ignore a file called "READ ME," but if you must, at the very least make sure to check there first if you have a question.Anakin wrote:on principle i never read the readme because normaly it says allways:
