Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire

Post by giftheck »

Yes, it is finally official after much speculation: The Game Boy Advance games Ruby and Sapphire are being remade for the 3DS as Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. These adventures will send players to the Hoenn region, where they must complete the usual goal of collecting eight badges and they must face the bad guys who are attempting to awaken a Legendary Pokemon for their own ends.

Thoughts?

Look at everyone stealing my jokes.

I'm doing a nuzlocke of Sapphire right now to kill off my hype before it reaches terminal levels. I can only hope they increase the regional dex to about 400/450 to add some diversity to the game, because right now there's at least one Zigzagoon encounter per route.

Dang, RSE were my favorite versions of all time. I'm really excited for this but I don't have a 3DS.

This is exactly what I'm thinking. Ruby was the very first video game I ever had so naturally Hoenn was my favorite region and R/S is my favorite set of games. Sort of coincidentally I found my Ruby game a few weeks ago and played it for a while. Memories... :(

I've always believed that they were the weakest games in the series, but I am excited to see what the remakes will do to improve the experince. I also remember being impressed with the visuals, so I can't wait to what it looks like on the 3DS.

Yeah I saw a video about that stuff. Now it's getting me super pumped. I really want to play these but I don't want to spend a bunch of money on a 3DS and the actual game.

But you never know. I just might.

Mega Sceptile is immune to all but 2 forms of paralysis, glare and body slam. Considering how rare glare is and body slam only works 30% of the time without serene grace, this essentially means a pokemon whose best stat (at least in their normal form) is speed is just going to be a speed demon. Neat.

Mega Swampert, on the other hand, appears to have skipped leg day, breh.
