The Convo Pack 2.0 should come with the old v1.3 patch.

r129 is nowhere to be found on Gamefront, it must be hidden in the same place with the 2015 stuff. :x
http://web.archive.org/web/201408032021 ... le/;122206
A search for the actual file name (swbf2v1.3patch_r129.exe) yields nothing significant.

A search for zerted:
http://www.gamefront.com/?s=zerted
results in 3 versions:
http://www.gamefront.com/files/12244638 ... on_117.exe
http://www.gamefront.com/files/12246063 ... on_117.exe
http://www.gamefront.com/files/15530597 ... _patch.zip

r117 lite is actually stored in 2 locations for some reason. I think r117 was the last version with a menu.bat.
The mediafire link in the first post is the only one working for r129.

I do a lot of testing and use the vanilla installation (1.1) to be sure there is no conflict with certain files and since I don't like overwriting the game's files (unless it's something I modified), I make backups and reinstall the 1.3 files by hand.
Here is r129 unpacked with and without the 1.2 HUD:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/5cdl5 ... h1.2HUD.7z
http://www.mediafire.com/download/w0q55 ... o1.2HUD.7z

You may want to check the Dark Times installers. I packed versions of the 1.3 patch with each of them - I don't recall exactly which, but they're standalone (the 1.3 files aren't coupled with the Dark Times installers, they're just included in the archive).

You can easily do the same thing with the executable file. Running the installer again doesn't even take that much time.

I can dig up an old release for anyone who emails me their email, but r129 fixes a bug in r117 and the r129 installer should work on Windows XP/Vista/7/8/8.1/10. The menu.bat installer only works 100% for people using Windows XP. I assume the problem with rerunning the exe is that you have to pick all your other settings again? It is safe to reinstall v1.3 on top of itself. Nothing bad happens, it was designed for that. I have 25 old v1.3 releases and none of them are .rar files:
Hidden/Spoiler:
./CUE Z-Mode.zip
./LVL Mods revision 6 built.zip
./SWBF2-v1.3patch Example Map r41.zip
./SWBF2-v1.3patch Full revision 102.7z
./SWBF2-v1.3patch Full revision 103.7z
./SWBF2-v1.3patch Full revision 112.7z
./SWBF2-v1.3patch Full revision 117.exe
./SWBF2-v1.3patch Lite revision 102.7z
./SWBF2-v1.3patch Lite revision 103.7z
./SWBF2-v1.3patch Lite revision 112.7z
./SWBF2-v1.3patch Lite revision 117.exe
./SWBF2-v1.3patch menu r74.zip
./SWBF2 v1.3patch r83.7z
./SWBF2-v1.3patch revision 15.zip
./SWBF2-v1.3patch revision 17.zip
./SWBF2-v1.3patch revision 25.zip
./SWBF2-v1.3patch revision 36 -LocalizeSource.zip
./SWBF2-v1.3patch revision 36.zip
./SWBF2-v1.3patch revision 41.zip
./SWBF2-v1.3patch revision 50.zip
./SWBF2-v1.3patch revision 61.zip
./SWBF2-v1.3patch revision 69.zip
./SWBF2-v1.3patch revision 74.zip
./updatedforControl revision 18.zip
./v1.3patch Localize r110.zip
FYI: You can manually change some settings by creating or deleting empty files with specific names. I stupidly didn't document that in the readme. Here's two of the settings (I forget if there's more or not):

Code: Select all

GameData/addon/AAA-v1.3patch/settings/noAwards.txt
GameData/addon/AAA-v1.3patch/settings/noColors.txt
I'd recommend installing r129 without the hud, copying common.lvl, reinstalling with the hid, and copying the hud common.lvl. Now all you need to do is swap the two common.lvl files when you want to change huds. You can even make .bat files for it. They would look something like:

Code: Select all

del <swbf2>/GameData/data/_lvl_pc/common.lvl
xcopy "<swbf2>/GameData/data/_lvl_pc/common.lvl.Hud" "<swbf2>/GameData/data/_lvl_pc/common.lvl"
and

Code: Select all

del "<swbf2>/GameData/data/_lvl_pc/common.lvl"
xcopy "<swbf2>/GameData/data/_lvl_pc/common.lvl.NoHud" "<swbf2>/GameData/data/_lvl_pc/common.lvl"

It's stored multiple locations because people keep making copies of it. Even you just made two more :|. I'll always keep at least one working link on the first page of this topic. Consider those links as the official download locations. r117 was the last official release before r129, so yes it was the last with menu.bat. Some of the older v1.3 releases didn't work as the binary diff tool I was using to make the download smaller didn't always reproduce the same file...

No, I was saying Gamefront stored r117 lite in 2 submitted file locations, these aren't user accounts. I merely provided r129 in unpacked form (with and without HUD) so folks can see what is being placed or changed in their game files. A batch file could be made to swap them out with their backed up files if need be. SWBFFiles is down for good, you should change those links to go directly to the download pages, the only working links in the first post are the MediaFire ones I had to add some time ago, you are free to change your official links to whatever you want.

I wasn't complaining. You added the link? I don't remember that, though that's not important. Thanks.

I've fixed up the first page a bit. The old links are there more for historic reasons, so someone can find them if they do a search looking from an old version for the latest version. I'm not expecting people to actually use them to try to download something.

v1.3 r129: http://www.mediafire.com/?pzznah47785jabb

If you want the v1.2 side/weapon model changes then install v1.2 first.

Yo, Zerted, is there something in the installer that would cause an error message to pop up saying "The folder name is not valid"? People who got SWBF2 from GOG are having that pop up when they try to install the v1.3 patch, and I think it's because the folder name for GOG is:
\GOG Games\Star Wars - Battlefront 2\

Which is different than the Lucasarts/Steam path names:
\Lucasarts\Star Wars Battlefront II\
\Steam\Steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II\

This is from v1.3 r129 correct (no menu.bat)?

The path doesn't matter. What matters is the value in the ExePath key of the Windows registry entry: HKLM\SOFTWARE\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\1.0
It takes that directory, goes up twice, then picks that folder as the default installation location. You can always manually change the installation location. Can you post a screenshot of the error and the installation wizard screen when the error pops-up? Can you see if that registry entry exists on the GOG version? Is the error keeping people from installing v1.3 or it just an annoying pop-up that needs to be closed? This is the first I've heard of the issue. Thanks.

Yeah, it was a different issue for both people I was trying to help out, it was just that the only common factor between the two was GOG. Got it figured out for both of them, though, and it had nothing to do with v1.3, itself. Sorry, I thought I deleted that post.

Question regarding this mod, when I have this installed I get the option to play Coruscant Hero Assault (something that is not in the vanilla game) however when I try to play that mode my game refuses to go to even the loading screen and I have to force quit.

Does this happen to anyone else? Is this a known bug within this mod or is there a way to fix it?

Yeah I've noticed this as well. I think it was added to missionlist because the .req for it was there, but the script is missing, or vice-versa. The solution would be to create and load a working cor1g_eli (just don't try using it in multiplayer).

You could create a mission named cor1g_eli and it would work fine online. Only you could access it and only people with the same modification could join.

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Zerted!
Dunno how often you check the other boards, but quick summary:

The latest GOG/Steam update to the game patches multiplayer to use GOG Galaxy instead of GameSpy. However, the update changes shell.lvl, so it breaks the v1.3 patch. Any chance you (or someone) could take a look, push a version of the v1.3 patch that's compatable with the new update?

We need to know what exactly .lua files in shell.lvl and ingame.lvl have been changed in v1.3 patch. Then we can insert them to new files updated by GOG. I mean replace compiled scripts from unofficial patch .lvl's to new .lvl's.
