Adding light to maps

Post by mrcluster »

I noticed that, upon adding Tatooine: Dune Sea (a very "light" map)'s terrain textures, some props from it, the sky, and even the suns and blur effects from it in my .fx file, I still don't get its "light" effect. Is there any way to add global light to a map?

I also wrote an article on lighting tips and tricks (including how to get realistic lighting colors) a little while back: https://www.aaron-gilbert.com/blog/2017 ... hting-tips
